MYOB FirstEdge 3.0 (Mac OS X)
This is really a pretty good product. I used Quickbooks for ten years or so, then just grew weary of all the errors it generated. Looked at MoneyWorks, which gets rave reviews, but it was too expensive and not intuitive at all for me. First Edge is also not too intuitive; this is why so many complaints. But they do offer free support for 3 months. Not a lot, but it is enough if you use the program and just ask your questions. And, the more I use FE, the better I like it. It does what I need to do. I especially like the fact that I can process credit cards directly through the software. It saves me a lot of time. I also bought a book out of New Zealand, called Making the Most of MYOB, through www.alibris.com. It is not all relevant, but is still a good resource. And there are no errors. I've only had one weird thing happen, and it did not affect data--it was just that the format for check printing changed, and the program gave me an error message that let me know. So it is a bit slow to learn, but it is also pretty rock solid. I give it 4 stars, considering its competition. Don't let all the complaining reviews put you off. If you take the time to learn the program, I think you will be satisfied. And you can try it free as a demo. [alert admin]

CG Invoicer X 2.3 (Mac OS X)
This is a nice program if you need an invoicing program and not a more complete system like MYOB or Quickbooks. The invoices look very nice, it is pretty darn straightforward, and keeps good client information. You can even email invoices if you like, from within the program. And the customer support is great. I give it 5 stars overall because of the great support. [alert admin]
