with the speed. version 5 in osX still seems substantially slower than v4 was in 9. I had download problems too, using mozilla 1.0. i think the servers are just busier than they can handle. no marks off for that. that's life in the internet. [alert admin]

JewelToy 1.1.5 (Mac OS X)
world. Just in time for summer. I know what i will be doing for the next couple of months. Try it while listening to the Fight Club (tm) soundtrack through headphones. It becomes just this close to a spititual awakening. [alert admin]

for a minor update it is a big deal for anyone to change my start page other than me. it is just the act of doing it that is the problem. i have had too many pc's that even if you change it in the prefs, it goes back the next day, until you edit it out of the registry. yes, i can quite easily change it back, and i know where to change it in the registry in win 98. Do you? Oh, the other reason is because i had to quit out of iTunes to do the install. i think that ticked me off even more, especially when i was listening to Vaughn Monroe's "mule train" [alert admin]

page for me? i don't think so. the "quartz font smoothing" really doesn't do anything for me. i prefer to have crisp text. i suppose that is an apple thing though. i have been using mozilla for a few weeks and i think i will continue with it instead, i was going to use the ie again fo a while, but the home page change is unforgiveable. besides, i don't even like msn. Thoth 1.5.0 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
using this app for some time now. it is stable: has never crashed on me and does everything i have needed it to do. this update works great too, although i have not tried the "new" features. [alert admin]

like most of the non-MS stuff i have used of late. don't like the mail that much. i will try it for a few days, not hours, so that is good. seems a little sluggish opening new sites but not nearly as bad as the last time i tried netscape. the other alternative browsers just didn't seem "done" the last time i tried any of them. this seems "done" 4 stars just for that.
