ExpanDrive 2.0.3 (Mac OS X)
I have been using ExpanDrive since it was released, and before that I used MacFuse/MacFusion, and even though ExpanDrive uses MacFuse, the developers have improved greatly on what is available through the open source MacFuse. [alert admin]

LaunchBar 4.3.7 (Mac OS X)
Great Product and Great support too
I have already reviewed LaunchBar, and I love the product, but I came across an issue and contacted support. In the first email I got from them they said the issue was with a system library, but, they didn't leave it there. The support person attached an applescript that got around the problem. Then, about a month later I get a second email from support saying that they found another way fix the problem without applescript, and they showed me how to do it. So, not only did they not just drop it at "it's Apple's problem, not ours" they continued to work on the problem and found an actual solution, when their first fix worked just fine. I totally would recommend launchbar, and now that I have had the pleasure of interacting with support, I would recommend it even more so. [alert admin]

Path Finder 5.0.1 (Mac OS X)
I wrote a long rant before, and I used it for a little while, so I figure I would make some more points and give it a review. Mostly I think they should not have wasted so much time on 'whiz bang' features like coverflow, and emulating the finder sidebar, and spent more time on making it truly be a finder replacement. I know this would end up being a hack, but, I would love to be able to never open finder again, and have PF totally replace it. The checkbox to make it the default browser (which was in 4.x) works for the most part, but some apps insist on calling finder directly, and it subsequently opens finder. PF also had a hard time integrating with automator. There are tons of these little features that would make the most 'hardcore' of users happy, yet they tried to focus more on these dumb features that make nice bullet points, but are not very useful. As it stands, I can't recommend the 5.x branch for any power users, and I am happier with the old 4.x. [alert admin]

Path Finder 5.0 (Mac OS X)
I hate the finder sidebar, that's why i use PF, the new one is just like the finder, including its lack of customizability. In PF4 I had 3 things in my sidebar, the drop stack, 'Volumes' and the 'Shelf'. Now in 5, I have to have 'Shared' and 'Search For' in it, and I don't care about either of those. I also liked that the sidebar in 4 had distinct areas for each, now they just are kind of lumped together.
Dual PaneI never liked dual pane in anything, including ftp clients
Cut and Paste on filesI haven't used cut and paste on files since I last used windows on my main machine over ten years ago, I prefer the Mac way, with using spring loaded folders, or the drop stack.
CoverflowMarginally useful in iTunes, totally useless in finder, and totally useless in PF
Enhanced Image EditorIt doesn't seem to do anything that Preview can't, and I have PhotoShop for anything heavy duty
Network Share BrowsingI don't find it useful at home or at work. At home, I control everything, so I know what to look for, and at work, there are hundreds of shared computers listed, again, useless. I prefer to find shares manually
The only other thing listed is 'tons of other fixes' but, they don't name them, and I have no idea what they are. They also did not fix the one persistent bug that I reported, and even showed them another application that seemed to exhibit the proper behavior, and they ignored my message. The bug is that when displaying the Pathfinder Desktop, and then you trigger Expose, the Pathfinder desktop flies away when it should just stay in place.
I am not giving a review yet, because maybe I will find something I like, but, as it stands, the upgrade is not worth anything to me, and even goes backward in some places. In terms of new features, I would give it one star, and overall I would give it three stars, and that is in comparison to the 5 stars I would give PF4. I really hate slamming a product that I really like, and use everyday, but this upgrade is almost worthless.

I have been using this for a while, and it is the best of all the IP address in menu bar utilities. [alert admin]

Entrance 1.2.117 (Mac OS X)
I have seen this app many times, and the features sound great, however, this is the third time I downloaded this, and my impression has always been the same. The program is ugly, hard to use, and doesn't work very well. I entered in a somewhat complex query that runs on cocoamysql, yet, I click run, and nothing happens. There was no error message, or anything, I had no idea if it done anything. So, I try a simple select query, and that worked, but, simple selects really are not too useful. The most interesting feature is the graphing, but, I couldn't get that to work because none of the queries I used worked. [alert admin]

LaunchBar 4.3.4 (Mac OS X)
I have used LaunchBar for years, and I could not use my mac without it. It allows me to work much faster. I tried Quicksilver, but, I feel LaunchBar is the better product. I would pay for this over and over again, nothing beats it. [alert admin]

Weather Vane 1.6 (Mac OS X)
I had to click on the link to find out what exactly was the 'Status Bar'. It is called the Menu Bar, this is a Mac, not a PC. [alert admin]

LiveDictionary 1.3 (Mac OS X)
Already built into 10.4 and above
This product seems to have the same functionality as hitting Control+Command+D. You can use that key combo in all WebKit based browsers (Safari, Omniweb etc) as well as in many Cocoa text areas, such as in Mail and Textedit. However, this trick does not work in Gecko browsers (Firefox and Camino). [alert admin]

Waring! Waring! Do not use!!!!!!!
The bottom and top CSS are equivalent, except the bottom one has all the parameters expanded and it includes some that are browser defaults.
