Sweet Home 3D 1.8 (Mac OS X)
This app is very intuitive and easy to use. The live "render" of objects is really nice. I do find the mouse input very sensitive when it comes to live pan-arounds though, but not enough to hinder the enjoyment. You can also import 3ds and OBJs models too. Thanks for creating this, it's just awesome! AND IT'S FREE! [alert admin]

InDesignProxy 1.0.3 (Mac OS X)
I wish I'd known there was such a thing sooner
Knowing about this very issue of having multiple versions of InDesign installed on a Mac -- and having every InDesign document (regardless of the version it was created in) open in the latest version, I only wish I'd known about this sooner. I've never liked have to 'upsave' documents to the latest version of an application, only to need it to be used in an earlier version somewhere down the track. Oh well. [alert admin]

Heidrun 0.7.2 (Mac OS X)
This was the best Hotline client until 10.5 shot it to hell. Please fix this! [alert admin]

Paper Pilots Screensaver 1.006 (Mac OS X)
$15 for a screensaver? Someone needs their head checked. Regardless of how good it is, it's there to save a screen and perhaps impress a few of your work buddies (who, in turn, will laugh at you for paying for a screensaver). Even $5 for a screensaver is pushing it. [alert admin]

DiskCatalogMaker X 4.4.1b5 (Mac OS X)
Why does this app get updated virtually every day?
Aside from possible pseudo "incremental bug fixes", I'm thinking its more of a daily "bump" as a means of free advertising. I dig the app, but I just get sick of seeing pop up in the list every day. How many "bugs" can one app have? [alert admin]

GarageSale 4.0.1 (Mac OS X)
This thing often refuses to update auction data (automatically, or when the refresh button is clicked). Removing and re-adding the widget doesn't fix it. It takes a restart of your Mac to regain this functionality. Most annoying... [alert admin]

I too can vouch for the awesomeness of this app. I, too, had a similar amount of photos that I lost, amongst other valuable things, when my drive no longer mounted. Data Rescue II (at the time), recovered EVERY square inch of data off the platters. It basically saved my arse. I'm forever thankful and glad I bought it. It's worth every cent. PS. This isn't an endorsement but genuine praise for this app. It's…

If you'd looked at the date this was posted (2001), you'd realise the OP is referring to an earlier "Apple iMac Software Update 1.2.1". Versiontracker retains the title for updates. Coincidentally, Apple released an update of this software with a version number which was not only released in 2007, but also in 2001. Had you read the date and not jumped the gun, you wouldn't now be looking like such a tool.

Like selling ice to the eskimos
I would say, governing by other responses to your software, as well as the blatant obviousness of charging for something which Spotlight/OS X does fine on its own, is not only embarrassing on your part, but a downright con also. You're relying on people who know no better and I think that's deplorable.

I can see one potential flaw with this product
My apologies! I was using the 1.1.2 of Shades which doesn't have this feature. Thank you for pointing that out. Just got rid of Brightness Control too :)
