Logitech Control Center 2.6.0 (Mac OS X)

For Bluetooth models, too...

While I didn't ck. all models, links @ website for my v470 cordless also point to this same d/l pkg. Also, I haven't had others' reported experiences with odd mouse behaviors - only issue for me, has been needing to re-pair after cold boot or Fast User-Switching. (Grrr... Hope this helps wit' dat!) If you find your mouse tracking to be too-caffeinated - even @ low settings of Mac OS pref. setting, consider installing freeware "MouseZoom!" prefpane to fine-tune your mouse tracking beyond the coarse settings of Apple's software (It's been a 'good neighbor' right up thru 10.5.3). IceClean 3.0.3 (Mac OS X)

Must be cranky-season!

With friends like this, who needs enemas? A. This is FREE software; I hope this developer doesn't insult easily! B. There have only been 3 public releases of the Leopard version in 3 months' time — not too bad, when you consider that OS X 10.5 is STILL a work in progress (how many OS X updates have been released in the same period, & how forthcoming has Apple EVER been, about those contents?) C. Every objection & concern raised here would have been answered if the commenters had actually read the documentation! Apparently it's not-enough to offer free toilet paper; some folks will want you to 'deploy' it for them, as well... [alert admin]

ToMacs 1.5.3 (Mac OS X)

Don't just criticize — Contribute!

This is a wonderful idea! I hope that someone who is fluent in french agrees with me and offers to aid the developer with an english translation... [alert admin]

Mac Pilot 2.5.4 (Mac OS X)

Reality check…

Despite this developer's grandiose claims, if (s)he were as good at coding as at bragging, I've concluded that we wouldn't have needed to suffer through 28 bug-fix & incremental upgrades in calendar 2007, and 5 more so far, in '08 (!!!). Admittedly, I've only hopped-aboard the bus after every 10 ~ 15 releases, but I still am finding that (for my purposes) Mac Pilot offers a "Me-too" feature set, which is largely replicated in other products — including competent, stable freeware — like OnyX. Imo, this developer very-much needs a core-group of loyal friends who are willing to be frequently distracted & abused by this high-velocity stream of updates; the 'rest of us' might hope that every 3 ~ 4 months, that the product would actually have amassed some substantial enhancements with the inevitable rough edges removed, so that we could actually look forward to these occasions! Why not learn from the products which you consider 'competitors' — rather than merely taking cheap shots at them? [alert admin]

Videobox 2.1b (Mac OS X)

Who are they kidding?

My prior, purchased version of FLVR bunged-up OS 10.5 Safari so badly that I had to "Archive & Install" to fix the damage - despite being promised a free upgrade to this new version at the TastyApps site, I have now contacted them 3 times, without a response, & I'm still waiting - a week later!!! My suggestion - to those who are also inconvenienced by this poor customer service - buy the new version for $8 & then instruct your credit card company to charge that $8 amount back to them (If you've purchased within the past 60 days, you may be able to still charge-back the original $15) … [alert admin]

Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.1.1 (Mac OS X)

Update won't install…

After a default install, & with typical Adobe arrogant aplomb, this patch installer tells me that it failed because I have disabled or moved some resources from their default locations (From where; the Developer's hard drove, presumably?) Even after waiting an extra year for this 'fine wine' to age, it's in-my-face weekly with an unfathomably bizarre interface informing me (I think) that there are additional updates… This is the most-expensive Alpha software I've ever been tricked into purchasing! Thanks but should be Freeware

If you think that YOUR happiness is someone else's responsibility, then plan on staying depressed for a very-long time... Or, GROW-UP!!! After all, who is going to feed, clothe, & otherwise look-after the army of volunteer care-givers that you apparently need to be taking care of you? This software's author is about to discover that the folks who are MOST in need of it, are incapable of realizing that...

Shameful - yes, but...

You are a perfect example of why intelligent life forms never expect to find much useful information in unmoderated user forums! For a variety of reasons, many apps place "secret" (even invisible) files on your hard drive, and don't reliably remove them (sometimes, intentionally) during scripted or manual uninstalls. If one of those secret files becomes corrupted, then attempts to correct abberant behavior by deleting/reinstalling an aflicted app, may repeatedly fail, until one or…
