Final Draft 7.1.3 (Mac OS X)

Oh please...

I've used this software for nearly a year without a hiccup. If it was as crappy as the previous reviewer stated then why is it the number 1 recommended screenwriting softward in Hollywood? [alert admin]

A Great Game

This little gem is the most unique game I've ever played on the Palm T|X. Everything the developer advertises the game delivers: great graphics and audio and very addictive game play. The customer service is excellent as well. The developer was very quick to respond to a question I had. [alert admin]

Moneydance 2006 (Mac OS X)

At Last - No More Quicken or MS Money!!!

I have tried just about every financial pkg for windoze and Mac and Moneydance is hands down the best. Easy to use, not overpriced and after 8 months - not a single crash or corruption of data. I manage two bank accounts and a business account and it works perfectly! If you're looking for an escape from Quicken & MS Money you've found it. [alert admin]

Zinio 1.4.4 (Mac OS X)

Odd...

I have been using Zinio since it first came out and have only had the download problems once or twice early on. I used it with Panther and with Tiger (10.4.1) - just downloaded the August issue of Macworld in fact. Try tweaking your Network prefs - I've found that by switching the Web Proxy on and off - many download problems have been solved. Also I have not tried Zinio with any other mags so my experience is limited to one mag. I love reading Macworld with Zinio - it's fun to use and has great features like hyperlinks in the articles etc. I also like having it check for new issues and downloading them in the background. When it's ready I get a dialogue asking if I want to read the latest issue. And I enjoy using the keyboard shortcuts for navigation. I can kick back in my chair not tethered to the mouse and relax while reading the mag. I couldn't be happier with it. [alert admin]

GmailStatus 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Nicely Done

I like this app - it's simple yet does exactly what it is supposed to do. I have not had a single crash since I've been using it. One user complained about background color but I set my background to the same shade as the menu bar and it barely shows and set the foreground to the same shade of blue as the apple menu - very nice looking. And it's free - how cool is that! Thanks for the great app [alert admin]

Apple Compressor 1.2.1 (Mac OS X)

Not the best

I have been using Compressor for a few months now but have to say I am unimpressed with the quality of the output. Sorenson Squeeze does a far better job and the resulting files are much smaller. [alert admin]
