I just LOVE this app. It's small, both in size and memory footprint, is skinable, has just the right features, and works beautifully. In some ways, it reminds me of the way MP3 players were before iTunes. I haven't tried this yet, but it's not inconceivable that you could script this App with Applescript to have it record streams to disk on a schedule (you could launch those scripts from iCal, for instance). Wow! There are pay apps (Like Audio Hijack Pro) that do that. [alert admin]

EyeTV 3.0.3 (Mac OS X)
When will they Support Canada?
I've been bugging these guys for years to add support for a Canadian Channel guide. Still nothing. Otherwise it's a pretty cool product. I'm sure it's much more useful with the guide for just about every other country in Europe as well as the US... [alert admin]

Winner of 2 Apple Design Awards
A few nights ago at WWDC the Apple Design Awards honoured this app twice, including the 'Best Mac Application' award or their integration and use of technologies, elegant user interface, etc. Looks like I've got to try this one! [alert admin]

Play 0.2 (Mac OS X)
I'm running a Dual 2 gHz Processor G5 Tower running OS X 10.4.10 and it won't launch. Doesn't stay open long enough to even show up in the Doc. Bummer. [alert admin]

Fidelity Market Monitor 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Pretty good for a beta! Great to see some competition to the built-in stock widget. There are a few beta-like glitches, like the fact that it doesn't resize its position quite right. Some things that might be nice: How about multiple lists, like being able to switch between holdings, a watch list, and a list of indices? For Fidelity Customers, it would be great to enter your login credentials so you can: Get real time quotes rather than the 20 minute delay Get right to Equity Research from any stock. I know, this potentially opens your account up to someone walking over and using this to log in, but for people who have their computer in a secure place it would be great to see a way to act on a price rise or drop right from the widget. iChat Extender 0.8b (Mac OS X)
I listen to a lot of classical music. Is it possible to have the 'Composer' field showing? If not, it's no big deal, as I often double-code it so that the Composer is included in the movement title (i.e.: 'Brahms - Symphony No 4 in E minor, op. 98 - i. Allegro non troppo') A pity that this probably too long for the iChat status line anyway... [alert admin]

Can't run it at all, not matter what I do. Does it run on a G5? [alert admin]

Microsoft Office 2004 11.1.1 (Mac OS X)
This file continually displays the message 'Verification failed', which I'm assuming is some sort of checksum that DiskImageMounter is warning, and it then quits. I'm certainly not going to try and install something that my system says is corrupt even before I try and mount it! I wonder if anyone at Microsoft knows this is a problem - there doesn't seem to be a clear way to let them know that the file is invalid. [alert admin]

That's exactly what's happening on 2 machines, 1 PPC and 1 Intel. This is a defective update.

I've had exactly the same result. Clearly they have screwed something up for the timeout interval or something related to that. I too hope that they get this working, as it's currently the only way to listen to New York's WQXR outside of the NYC area.
