Skype 2.7.0.49 (Mac OS X)

Address Book contacts

While Skype may consider this to be a highly desireable and efficient method of importing data into their/your own Contacts List I, like the previous reviewer, consider this to be an unwanted imposition. Additionally, as he has also pointed out, it is impossible to delete such contacts once auto-imported from Address Book. The right-click and scroll to "Delete from Contacts" does not function, as it does with those which are self-input. I have reverted to the previous version (2.6.0.151), and will remain with that until Skype either remove the auto-import function or provide the ability to chose whether required or not . As the saying goes "the road to hell is paved with good intentions"! [alert admin]

Space Invaders Screen Saver 1.1 (Mac OS X)

Terrific

This has to be one of the best savers since Pong. It would be enhanced further if there was a sound file. Go for it! [alert admin]

krix 1.5 (Mac OS X)

Neat!

While I downloaded this little app. only within the last thirty minutes, I think I've gone through all the permutations it offers. No buggy-ness whatsoever. It is, most certainly, a different way of approaching your iTunes library. [alert admin]

iStat pro 3.0.1 (Mac OS X)

Failures

In addition to the earlier-logged comments (each of which I have experienced), this last version also fails to register the external IP address. Don't quite understand why such a perfectly operating program should go so belly up! [alert admin]

Apple Mania 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Subtle statement!

This is of the school "less is more", which is a rarity in this domain. I suspect that I'll keep it in my screen savers library for some time. Keep at it, kid! [alert admin]

Sound Shuffler X 1.7 (Mac OS X)

Terrific

There are few apps, no matter how clever they may be, which provide pure, simple joy. This one does that. Terrific fun! [alert admin]

Minuteur 4.3.1 (Mac OS X)

Iconic!

Just when you think that something simply can't get better, it does! The superlatives have preceded this version update. There is really nothing further to add! [alert admin]

TinyAlarm 1.1.1 (Mac OS X)

Does exactly what it says!

Nice, simple little program. Functions seamlessly. While there are other, more dynamic alarm apps. most, to my knowledge, sit either in the Dock or on the desktop. This one sits, unobtrusively, in the menubar. An earlier review mentioned Growl! integration. Mmm...not sure that's necessary really. Set this to repeat mode; that should provide sufficient, repetitive visual stimulus, particularly as it's accompanied with the sound alarm also. [alert admin]
