DVD2oneX 2.1.2 (Mac OS X)
Great product, great company! Simple easy to use software! Oh, and about the registration number... Copy it to the clipboard and when DVD2One asks to be registered right click and choose paste. Command-V does not work. [alert admin]

Super Get Info 1.2.2 (Mac OS X)
I like this app. It's most usefull feature to me is the invisibility feature: folders and applications can easily be hidden. But I also like the way information is arranged in tabs. There's also more of it laid out in a more readable format. I like the Preview, tab, too, where, for instance, I can see the web address of a link. File types and creators can be easily changed all without leaving the program. Not bad. [alert admin]

My initial response to this driver was a negative one. However, I didn't install it correctly - my computer should've been restarted. I know better and apologize for the negative review. I'm so far quite surprised by this driver - version 2.4 - all the trouble I've had from versions 2.1 to present have been corrected. Graphics are now aligned properly, my settings save correctly. Today is a busy one and I'll have an opportunity to put test this software throughly. May I only add: what took HP so long to finally make a driver that works? Past drivers have been nothing more than an exercise in frustration. Oh well, better to finally have this than not at all. Good work, HP. BTW, I'm using a 940c, a new iMac with 768 MB, and Apple's latest software. [alert admin]

The eDrive feature sounds interesting. But how much space will it occupy on my hard drive? [alert admin]

HP DeskJet 2.2.1 (Mac OS X)
Perhaps My Experience Will Help Others
My printer is a HP 940c. It's a great printer - it does what I want and need and then some. What I'm most pleased about is its ink usage: the black and color cartridges last forever. My problems began with OS X. More or less these were permission problems. Once they were ironed out things worked right - from 10.0 to 10.2.8 - so long as I used driver version 2.0f. Driver 2.1 introduced the first annoyance: my settings weren't being saved. During any given day I switch back and forth between black and white printing and color printing, each with several different settings depending on the job. Having to manually set each job was not only tedious but introduced a lot of mistakes (and cost money). Version 2.2.1 was no improvement. Not only were my settings not being saved but now graphics were unaligned. No amount of fiddling could get things right. Now I'm running Panther (OS 10.3) - it comes with a newer HP driver - version 2.3.1. It's no different than 2.2.1 in that it doesn't save it's settings (thankfully the graphics problem was fixed). As an added note, the first time Panther installed this driver most of the optional printer settings had vanished. I discovered that by reinstalling the driver manually myself (without Apple's installer) I could get them back. On a whim I tried reinstalling HP driver version 2.0f using Panther. To my relief it works, as good as it did before. So that's my point: if you're experiencing problems similar or different to mine try going back to version 2.0f. It's worked fine for me in all renditions of OS X. ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software1/dj1122/dj-7357-3/hp_inkjet_2.0f_OSX.sit.hqx [alert admin]

PTHClock 2.3.2 (Mac OS X)
What's everyone's experience with version 2.3.2 and Panther OS 10.3? PTHClock works for me but I no longer have access to the preferences. I hope a fix comes soon. [alert admin]

Macally USB Mouse/Trackball 4.2.2 (Mac OS X)
This doesn't work for 10.2.7, either. The mouse works as do the scroll wheel and the left and right buttons. But all other extra features are disabled. My mouse shows as being "Not Connected". I hope that Macally has a fix soon - I want to use my center button to double-click. [alert admin]
