RealPlayer 10.1.0 (Mac OS X)

Where can we get v10.0.0?

The link above for the previous version 10.0.0 just leads to a download page for 10.1.0. I've searched for v10.0.0 without luck. Can anyone provide a link where we can downgrade to v10.0.0 for now? Thanks! [alert admin]

AddressWeb 2.5 (Mac OS X)

A few suggestions to improve...

v2.5 has some nice improvements. However, here's my "wish list": 1. The first line should be either (a) the company name (if that record is marked as a business), or (b) last name, first name (or first, last -- the user should have a choice). 2. The first line (business name or person name) should be in bold with an option to have that first line a larger font size. 3. Include more fields as options (such as birthdays, etc.). 4. The second style (Drop shadows & colors) is a good idea, but the choice of a gray background with lime green text with a red border is terrible. It would be nice if we could choose any web color for the four parts: page background, table cell background, text color, and border color. Thanks for this free program. With the above changes, I think it would make it more useful, and certainly easier to find names of people and business. [alert admin]

OmniWeb 5.1.1 beta 2 (Mac OS X)

Good CS but very slow development

I purchased OW a long time ago to help support the development of this browser. It has some very nice features that no other browser has. In addition, I've always had excellent response from the CS dept. about problems. HOWEVER, it crashes many, many times a day. It won't render pages properly (or at all, sometimes!) that Safari and even...pardon me...IE render fine. Omni has several good products that they continue to update and improve much faster than they do OmniWeb. This program continues to get poor reviews because Omni isn't developing it at the speed they should. Unless Omni makes a big change in their priorities and development, I believe that OmniWeb is a doomed product. There are just too many other web browsers for the same price or free that render pages better and faster. C'mon, Omni, get the lead out! You have lots of paid users who believed in this product, and all we have to show for our support are constant crashes and a minor update every few months. My suggestion for anyone looking for a new browser: Try out OmniWeb. You'll be impressed with lots of great features. Then write to Omni and tell them that you'll consider purchasing when the reviews climb back up to what they used to be. In other words, save your money until Omni gets off the pot. [alert admin]

Cubed3W 0.1 (Mac OS X)

Crashes

When I run it, the entire screen flashes white for about 1 second, then the program crashes. My system (speed, graphics card, etc.) exceeds the minimum requirements. [alert admin]

Hi. Does anyone else have the problem of v1.1 crashing on launch? I've restarted, etc. but no success. Is there an email addr for the author? I can't find one on his site. Thanks. [alert admin]

Piano Tuner 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Is this REALLY the price!

This program looks good, but $100 for a 600KB program? YIKES! And isn't $100 just a tad bit out of the "shareware" range for most people? [alert admin]

1.2.4 Installer hanging?

Hi. Does anyone else have the problem of the 1.2.4 installer never completing and hanging? It never reaches the "finishing up" stage. Can someone confirm this? Thanks. [alert admin]

Apple iWork '05 (Mac OS X)

Very buggy - wait for next version to see

Go to Discussions on Apple's site to read about the many problems in Pages. For example, if exporting your pages as HTML is important (as it is for me...and the reason I purchased Pages), forget about buying this program. HTML export is completely worthless. This program has too many bugs for an $80 price tag. [alert admin]

OmniWeb 5.0.1 (Mac OS X)

The best browser available

I've tried every browser through nearly every version for years. OmniWeb 5.0 is my favorite by a wide margin. The best $30 I've spent. The company is also very responsive to bug fixes and replying to email about problems & questions. Even with the next version of Safari coming next year, I think OmniWeb will remain my favorite.
