Simple Solitarus 1.1 (Mac OS X)
This looks like a great game but here are the minimum spec from the developer's website. So bad luck old iMac G3 owners (including me). "Game Requirements: Mac OS X, G3 400Mhz, 16Mb video card" David [alert admin]

Word Counter 1.8 (Mac OS X)
Maybe doesn't work under Tiger
Using TextEdit, makes initial count fine. After that, anything - changing preferences, word counting, quitting - gives AppleScript error NSReceiverEvaluationScriptError: 4 (1) [alert admin]

httpmail plugin 1.41 (Mac OS X)
I theory this looks like a great plug in and I can see others below have had success. I have installed on three Macs now (two x 10.3.6, Mail 1.3.9; one 10.3.2, Mail 1.3.2 just in case...). Each time just get Connection failed Could not connect to "hotmail XXX" <p> Service Unavailable Anyone else seeing this? I know Hotmail is limiting access from Outlook/Entourage to paid subscribers only. Could it limit access from httpmail? David [alert admin]

DVTimeLapse 0.23 (Mac OS X)
Works fine on that camera (see below) when you take both the card and tape out. Would be nice to have an anti-crash feature though if the camera gets disconnected for any reason. Thanks again for a good program. [alert admin]

DVTimeLapse 0.23 (Mac OS X)
Using a Panasonic NV-GS5 camcorder it works well until the camcorder shuts down thinking it's doing nothing. (This is on Card mode - no tape in camera). The DVTimeLapse freezes, says Camera: disconnected and you have to Force Quit). [alert admin]

DVTimeLapse 0.23 (Mac OS X)
A really neat program that does exactly what it says. Works well with our Panasonic DV. No installation hassles and intuitive to use. Nice one [alert admin]

Carbon Copy Cloner 1.1 (Mac OS X)
of software. Worked flawlessly and the interface is nice and easy. Won't bless System Folder when you backup to a FireWire drive (LaCie) but does so when you restore to an internal drive (this is an OS X problem, not a CCC one). Was the easiest way to backup and restore my data when upgrading my hard drive. [alert admin]

I think this is going to be a common problem. My local cafe's hotspot uses the Netgear MR314 and anyone who has 3.1.1 or later can join the network but has no access to the internet. Who will be first with a patch - Apple or Netgear (grin)? David
