Macromedia Shockwave Player 10.1.1.016 (Mac OS X)
attempted to load an Internet plug-in "Shockwave Flash"... plug-in failed to load 
Everything was fine on my iBook, running OS X 10.3.9 until a website suggested I install Flash Player 9. Somehow "Shockwave Player" fails to load. Using Safari - I get the error message: The page "www.xxx.xxx" attempted to load an Internet plug-in named "Shockwave Flash", but the plug-in failed to load successfully. I have tried everything listed on every troubleshooting page I can find. If anyone has found the correct actions to fix this - please help. The error message appears every time I try to visit a website. Should I revert to a previous version?? [alert admin]

does anyone know the answer to this? should i reinstall flashplayer 8?
