Preferential Treatment 1.1.8 (Mac OS X)

When I try and run the application it says "The version of Mac OS X you are currently using is not supported by Preferental Treatment. Please update to a newer version using the Software Update feature and then try again" I have OSX 4.0. I cannot run any type of software update as I can only run in Safe Boot at this point. Any ideas? [alert admin]
