Flip4Mac Drive-in 1.0.0.32 (Mac OS X)
CraigP The file is played in DVD Player . . . just as if you but any commercial DVD in your Mac and player it. You're playing the MPEG2 files. The copy protection is the one licensed by the DVD manufacturer, CSS. Drive-In copies the DVD to your hard drive and maintains the copy protection. [alert admin]

Adobe Flash Player 9.0.18.0 (Mac OS X)
Flash Beta and Flip4Mac Conflict on Intel Macs?
Some users on Intel Macs who have both Flip4Mac Universal and Flash Beta Universal are seeing the dreaded Quicktime Q with the Question Mark. Only happening on Intel Macs and only reported by some people. I have both on my PPC Mac and they live happily together. Anybody else seeing this issue or on the other hand, any with both on Intel Mac not seeing this issue? People reporting the issue have noted it on YouTube.com, where all the videos are Flash. ASFRecorderX 0.6 (Mac OS X)
As noted by previous poster, I was presented with a file captured with ASFRecorderX. The file played on WMP9Mac but not Flip4Mac. I tried playing the file on WMP10 on a Windows XP box and it DID NOT play there either. I attempted to open the file in ASFView on Windows XP. It's a Microsoft ASF analytical tool. It reported that "Object data size is greater than the available data by . . ." Granted ASFRecorderX is only at version 0.6 but I think the developer should look into this. The app is a great idea. The DMCA makes it ILLEGAL to break the copy protection of a protected DVD. Drive-in is the only product on the Mac market that copies DVDs legally. Drive-in makes a LOSSLESS copy. It is the same quality of the original and keeps the entire DVD structure intact.

Drive-in does NOT defeat the CSS. It retains and copies it.
