Sound Menu 1.5.1 (Mac OS X)
Snow Leopards "Hidden" Sound Menu
I haven't tried this app in Snow Leopard, folks, sorry, but if you Option-Click the sound control in the menu bar, you'll get similar functionality (not exactly the same). I'd be surprised if the dev updates this app. [alert admin]

WindowShade X 4.2 (Mac OS X)
Somewhere in here, someone suggested the following install method, which worked for me: *reboot into Single User Mode (hold down CMD-S immediately after you hear the restart chime until you see the spinning gear) *use Applejack if you have it installed or use the fsck command shown when the prompt becomes available *when it's done, type reboot at the command prompt *when you hear the chime, hold down the SHIFT key until you see the spinning gear *Repair permissions with Disk Utility (Applications>Utilities>Disk Utility) *Install Application Enhancer *Install Windowhade X *Restart the computer *Repair permissions again. This method worked for me. Mac Pro (early 2008-3rd generation), 10.5.4 [alert admin]

FileChute 4.2 (Mac OS X)
For quite some time, I have been uploading several files at once to my FTP site, and the manual process of getting the URL's has been a real pain, especially ensuring that they are clickable in an email (for some reason I sometimes had problems with that). FileChute has made this operation SO much easier! Do the simple setup, upload the files, then select the files in FileChute and it automatically shows you the URL of the file in a window on top of the app's screen. Drag them en masse to the email program. Done. For the person who was trying to upload to yousendit, note that YellowMug makes no claims of being able to do this. Websites like yousendit are web-based file transfer sites. YellowMug's website reads: "FileChute works best with a MobileMe account, configuration is super easy. But since not everyone has a MobileMe account, FileChute also works great with other FTP or WebDAV-accessible web server." [alert admin]

Move To... 1.0 (Mac OS X)
This Move To script is great!!! One I'd really like to see (ultimately built into the OS) is to be able to take files that are already selected in the Finder, right-click on them and choose a contextual menu item that will allow me to auto-put them into a folder in the files' current folder. I would use the heck out of that! [alert admin]

I don't own TTP, but I do own Disk Warrior. DW has saved me many times over the last few years, including one time when I thought for sure I'd lost an entire partition to corruption. Just because you don't find use for it doesn't mean that others won't.
