VideoUpLink 1.0.5 (Mac OS X)

Could do with...

Don't even know if this works yet? There is actually no way of knowing how far it has got, which is a shame as this could be a useful and nifty utility if it provided a bit of feedback on its progress. Seems to be a bit of a guessing game!! For less tech savvy folks than myself, it could also prove to be rather a confusing interface too. It really needs a little more work to make it worth paying for. Look forward to seeing how it comes along. [alert admin]

CheckUp 2.5.2 (Mac OS X)

Nothing special....

I installed this in the belief that it would check my disks...as the description says... 'Check your memory and disks; monitor the health of your Mac'. Whilst it checks your disks SMART status, that is it. It does absolutely nothing with your disks that is not already available in Apples free Disk Utility, and other freeware apps. I actually needed to check the integrity of the disk blocks, which is the only way of actually knowing that your disk is sound, and as this application does not do anything of the sort, I am very disappointed. It simply does not perform a proper check of your disks at all, it does not even verify the disk! [alert admin]

DivX For Mac 7.1 (Mac OS X)

What planet are the developers on?

Any developer that releases a new product that only works on Intel computers is really not wise. There are no earlier versions available that work on Apple's PPC computers, so that means the developers have made a conscious choice to profusely upset literally thousands of users. What planet are they on, and is it even in the same galaxy? In short, Intel users are fine, but PPC users can forget this product ever existed given that the developers have forgotten that you exist! I have been inundated with calls from upset Mac users that have wasted hours and hours trying to get this pile of nonsense to work. I have told them all what to do, it sounds like this, 'don't bother wasting your time with this amateur product or its incredibly thoughtless and careless developers'. [alert admin]

Could do with...

Looking for a progress bar, I pressed 'upload' over and over, and then it went to Kagi for me to pay for it! So, apparently I uploaded 4 movies...correction, I uploaded precisely NONE! I can only surmise that this thing is totally useless and a total waste of time. Stay away from it, there are much better things to do with your time! Someone else should write a version that does what it says on…

Could do with...

Just noticed this on the description....."An accurate progress bar will appear for each video as it is processed."....so where is it??? I don't see any progress bar at all, is it actually uploading? It says I have uploaded one of the 4 movies allowed in the demo, and it says '1 movies' at the bottom of the window, 'upload' button was pressed....what is happening? Is anything happening? I can only guess....guess....guess!

Skeptical...& Disappointed

Now this made me laugh! Not a happy camper!!! You are not indeed! You forgot to put the bit about you being a thoroughly unpleasant character that the Mac community could well do without. I have read post after post of your pathetic venom toward folks that have worked very hard to provide Mac users something to play with. Rather than liaise with the developer to improve the products, you choose to waste away your…

poor installation won't install

Being a customer means you actually bought something, and to do that you would need the something to work first. Judging by the mass of Mr Angry posts you have made, there seems little chance that you have the intelligence to make anything work. You don't just need to learn how to use a computer, you really have to sort out your poisonous attitude too. Developers and Version Tracker could well do without ignorant fools…

Could not get it to launch.

Even if there were instructions, you are no doubt unable to read or understand them. It is clear that your only interest is making developers wish they didn't bother instead of providing some useful feedback that might actually improve something. Maybe you should take that bug out of your backside and seek some anger management?

bug

Ironically, we are still waiting for a response from this user. We have a huge amount of satisfied customers whom have not raised anything that even resembles this issue. In order that we can give any credit to this alleged bug that was never raised with our excellent support team we respectfully request that the person responsible for this post makes contact with us to explain their unsubstantiated allegation. Thank you.

A simpler solution:

You are by no means the first that has evidently missed the point of Padlock? If you wanted to stop someone reading 'your' mail whilst 'you' were logged in as 'you' but away from your computer, or if you did not have user accounts, or wanted to use single user start up, then moving applications to another user account will make no difference. If you want to stop children using a browser or chat…

bug

Please contact us with further details of this unique problem. We have tried very very hard to replicate this issue and we have been unable to. When you add a lock to an application that has already been launched, the application has to restart for the lock to start, ie: you cannot lock a currently running application. The only way a document might be open to be visible when the lock activates is if the…

$20 are you joking?

Another helpful fact: Anyone who wants, and is able to understand how to use the Terminal application can do a whole host of interesting things on their Macs without purchasing a thing. As our thoroughly 'professional' critics are no doubt aware, you can even burn a CD from the Terminal application, and it is free too (complain to Adaptec)! Despite the few misinformed comments, you cannot easily perform all the functions provided by Hyperon using the Terminal…
