Travelogue 360 Paris 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Tired cliche

The kind of software you could find on a daily basis on the early days of the CD-Rom... when editors had to fill said CDs with something. Succession of boring QTVR with stupid photo clip art pasted on them... Don't really need this to kill any gaming envy on the Mac platerfom... and ONLY 20 USD ? come on, this gem should be priced on the same level as the Bugatti Veyron... [alert admin]

Rubish

Pretty much junk. Fake "free" software with 10 preconfigured feeds that can't be removed. (sponsorship deal). Don't call it a freeware it's an ads supported software. Not ran Adaware yet to see how many spyware it installed on the side. [alert admin]

VLC media player 0.8.6 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)

Buggy for mpg playbacks

With this update I have lost the audio track on most mpeg files. That still play well with previous version or windows media player. Mostly concern media converted from flv by Cinemaforge 2. [alert admin]

Good soft

Borderline incredible speed even on a G3 400 with folder of thousands of pictures (unsorted pr0n grow so fast...). The spotlight search is somewhat... dead... But everything else deserve a medal (even the URL browsing) [alert admin]

iView MediaPro 3.0.1 (Mac OS X)

Work but painfully slow

Had to split my catalogs. one of 130 000 pictures (can't split more...) one of 50 000 pictures (can't bother to split more) The first one is absolutly awfull to manage, have to use autosave every 30min if not after modifications the soft pull an error 'can't write to the disk' at every save. Trouble is, an autosave on a catalog of 1GB take lots of time... But at least no crashes. Seems i'm pushing it a little to close to its limits... Have to says it's the only soft that still agree to do his job with so many picts... [alert admin]

Work but painfully slow

Replying to myself, with the 3.0.2 update everything is fast as hell, can't understand the difference. It's like switching from photoshop on a mac Plus to using simple text on a powermac G5, me think there is some black magic involved...
