xbMovieMaker 0.1 (Mac OS X)

As Mac users…

we all enjoy the fact that we have access to lots of third party software. This is a good example of the NIGHTMARE that this can create. I usually do not use anything that I feel hasnt been tested first. I thought this was a great idea and had to try it. IT TOTALLY LOCKED UP my G4 like nothing ever has. I had to run First Aid just to get my system back up. You can tell from the lack of docuemtation and the lack of a custom icon that little effort was put into this piece of junk. Get some Beta testers or keep your hobby to yourself. [alert admin]

Macromedia Flash player 6.0r67 (Mac OS X)

Its not the…

designers or too much content that we are talking about. I use both a new IBM think pad win 2000 and a new G4 dual 867 OS 10.2.2 tons of RAM in both. Both the Flash player and the application run a lot slower then they should on the G4 while most other programs are equal. Director MX is the first of the MX line that appears to be optimized for new Macs and OSX. If you work with Flash everyday like I do you notice the lag time in the Mac versions. Publishing the same files takes twice aslong on my G4. [alert admin]

Macromedia Flash player 6.0r67 (Mac OS X)

The player matches…

the speed of the MX apps. SLOWWWWWW. None of them with the exception of Director MX have been optimized for OS X or the New G4's. [alert admin]
