skEdit 3.5 (Mac OS X)
This is the best text editor I have used. I keep finding useful features, and the developer is great. The versiontracker subcategory of 'web site development app' really does not do this app justice. Well worth the shareware price. [alert admin]

Peek-a-Boo 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)
This program possibly has the most annoying shareware reminder ever. Every window that the program spawns displays a message every 5 seconds, nagging the use to register. The pulsing of the windows is almost seizure inducing. Aside from the annoying messages, the program is also not pleasing to the eye. Now on to the program, from what i have seen, this program does not do anything more than the free alternatives. Activity Monitor does 95% of what this program purports to do, and it comes with the OS. I see no reason to use this program, unless you want to turn your monitor into a strobe light. [alert admin]

You Control 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)
I contributed to pth a while ago, because I use pth pasteboard and pth itunesnotifier every day, and now they are gone, and all is left is this bloated unstable program. Plus, it costs $50 ?? that is way overpriced, consider that iLife also costs $50, and you get several feature laden, high quality programs for the same price. I am going to stick with the pth apps, (which have never crashed on me), until they stop working. [alert admin]

Little Snitch 1.1rc5 (Mac OS X)
I have been using this for a long time, and I find it invaluable, now I can control what apps can talk to the net, and i know which are spying on me. I also use it on my laptop, when going online with my cellphone, I have it so every attempt to access the internet gets displayed, so I do not incur any unnecessary bandwidth charges [alert admin]

Heart Monitor 1.1 (Mac OS X)
I tried this application because it sounded too weird, and I found out that this could be a useful cpu monitoring utility. It has the ability to show a nice transparent window showing the user, system, idle and nice percentages. Too bad you can't leave the nice window up, without the ridiculous beating heart.
