PDAbs 5.0 (Mac OS X)

Company Seems Out of Business

This company seems to have long gone out of business. There has been no support offered or updates offered for going on years. The current OS X application does not work at all as upon launching, you receive "A fatal error occurred during execution" error. [alert admin]

USBVision 1.3.2 (Mac OS X)

Rock Solid Performance / Helpful Developer

Rock Solid Performance / Helpful Developer I have been using USBVision for my USB security camera set up for several years now. I have the software running 24/7 and it has never failed during these years of service...not once. USBVision is extremely easy to set up and use and is a program you can install it and then forget about it as it does its job reliably. The developer is quick to address questions. When I first started using USBVision, I was using some black and white cameras and wanted a grayscale option. The developer quickly provided me with a custom program. Later, when I upgraded to a color camera, I just had to switch back to the current version. Recently, I needed help with another camera set up I wished to try out and once again, the developer was very helpful. As a result of his continued help, I plan to give his other product, VideoGlide a try. [alert admin]

Thinking Home 2.0b17 (Mac OS X)

Great to See Thinking Home Updated!

I have been using Thinking Home for years...started using it on an old Mac Color Classic. Thinking Home worked when I moved to a PowerPC and their OSX version worked when it was time to move forward. Now that I am starting to use CF blubs and moving away from Active Home, Thinking Home has once again stepped up and works great in 10.5.2. Thinking Home just plain works and is very simple to use. Quick Support Help!

I was getting frustrated with the re-registration of AquilaCalendar. I purchased AquilaCalendar back in 2002. My QuickSilver recently died and I replaced it with another one. I needed to re-apply for a serial number. Well, in the past two weeks, I sent at several emails to info@avcore-systems.com, however, I was not getting a response. For some reason, my emails were not getting through. I am not sure why but I tried one more time with a different email ISP. Boom! I got through and was literally up and running in just a couple of minutes with the help of Alan. The bottom line is that I am up and running and the support was quick and friendly. I did have a problem contacting via email. Perhaps it was one of our ISPs but if it happens to you, I suggest just trying another email address. [alert admin]
