I like this software. It fits what I need and does well exactly what it claims to do well. You've got to hand it to the author of this code... he wrote two useful programs to work together when he found there was nothing out there to do what he (and I) needed. So, I use this on a MacBook Intel machine (which didn't have dual monitor mode, except for mirroring displays) and I use an iBook G4 (both Tiger) as the second display. I also installed Screen Spanning Doctor, on the suggestion in ScreenRecycler troubleshooting section. That suggestion alone was worth a lot. On price point... even if a second monitor would work here, $25 is a fair price to pay if this is what you need - either to put a second computer to use as a second monitor, or to get dual-screen capability when it would otherwise be impossible. On price point... even if a second monitor would work here, $30 is a fair price to pay if this is what you need - either to put a second computer to use as a second monitor, or to get dual-screen capability when it would otherwise be impossible. Or don't pay the $30... it's still usable. [alert admin]

Bits on Wheels 1.0.6 (Mac OS X)
I've used this and an old version of Azureus. I like this one. Three reasons: 1) I found it easy to use and understand. 2) It's a Mac OSX app - not a Java app 3) 3D swarm view of upload/download... AWESOME! [alert admin]

HP OfficeJet G series 6.3.7 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Um, why do we need a driver again? Isn't this stuff standard after all these years? Shouldn't a driver, if required, work? This is HP - they are big - printers are their gig. They were developing leading-edge technology in self-configuring networks. Why am I having trouble with their 42MB driver again? I'm so confused. Why did I buy an HP? Will I do it again? That one I can answer. NO. [alert admin]

BlogStudio for .Mac 1.0.4 (Mac OS X)
Easy to use, .Mac folks can rapidly increase the value of their .Mac account with this one. Well done. Not without a couple quirks, but I'm guessing by v1.1 it'll be solid all around. [alert admin]

Yes, it does provide a view of what it will look like... it uses Apple's WebKit, like he says on the BlogStudio main page, and WYSIWYG in the content area, without bothering with a browser.
