MailFOO v1.02 (Mac OS X)
Try the following. Place the script/application in: you users home folder/Library/Scripts (mine would be users/Danny/Library/Scripts) Add an alarm to iCal, that repeats every month, then set the alarm and to open the MailFOO application. I will be posting a "how too" on my website in the near future, with full screen shots and a better description. Danny Developer of MailFOO AppleUpgrade [alert admin]

fennel DVDManager 1.7 (Mac OS X)
This is a nice little app. It doesn't do the fancy barcode scanning (never works when I do it anyway) but looks like Apple software, is simple and easy to use. If you go to the developers site, you can download the lite version, which is UK and US English only, rather than multilingual. Would love to be able to edit the genre by double clicking the genre field, rather than going to the menu bar. Search feature is pure mac, works and is fast. I would also like to be able to edit the filter setting, so I can say whether I have ripped it to my media centre. Import and export to xml format, same as other DVD cataloging software. The web export function allows you to create a HTML webpage of all your DVD's that you could send to a friend so they can see what you have got (don't tell the film companies!). I have been annoyed by software that doesn't do this in the past, as it seems an obvious thing you would want to do. So far so good. [alert admin]

aMSN 0.97 (Mac OS X)
I have been looking around for an MSN client that will work with my isight. This is the best looking and most straight forward one I've come across. Had the issue listed below (keep unzipping and don't get anywhere), but this one seems to work for me. Try it. [alert admin]

Maintenance 1.2.0b1 (Mac OS X)
I thought I'd chip in my first experience. I got it to verify the disk, repair permissions, perform maintenance tasks and clear the system cache's. I think I left it set to the defaults when I ran it. It asked to reboot. After the reboot I could not log into any of my accounts, until I rebooted again, at which point I could log in. Not noticed anything else at the moment. [alert admin]

MPFreaker 1.7.1 (Mac OS X)
It's not very often the writer of the software will track you down, looking at when the user registered to try and work out what their email address could be. This is what Leon McNeill did. He finally tracked me down asking for information about the crashing and the details about what happened. The issue lay with MP Freaker being let loose on my Podcasts. All my music was fine when I reimported it, just my podcasts caused me issues. I am very impressed that he tracked me down, and I think he will get to the bottom of the issue. He is not a faceless corperation, he seems to care! I now have a library with more photo's and a lot of the lyrics for my tracks too. Thanks Beastie. Danny [alert admin]

Xslimmer 1.2.5 (Mac OS X)
Slimmed another 16 apps using the latest version. Everything works fine. Reduced mactracker from 50 to 23MB I think, and as usual it has backed up the original apps for me. Select the backup option in the preferences menu. Even if it cant get rid of PowerPC info it will strip away all the languages you dont require. Great, well worth the money. [alert admin]

Xslimmer 1.2.4 (Mac OS X)
Ignore the previous comments. I have been using it for several months on a regular basis, after every Apple update, after every software app update, and I have never had a program crash or stop working. I have probably run it 30 times selecting all available apps, including the terminal! I would recommend doing a backup before you run the software though, as it will be stripping data out of you programs. Select the option to backup your apps when it slims them and you should be covered. I think that it has made some of my apps more responsive, and it also helps free up some space on your drive. Backup Backup Backup! [alert admin]

MPFreaker 1.7.1 (Mac OS X)
Ever since letting the software loose on my entire album, iTunes crashes every time I plug in my G3 ipod. Using 7.3.2 iTunes with 3600 tracks. Worked fine on the select few I ran it through. I bought the software and selected a playlist or two. They all seemed OK, so I left it churning through my album while I went out. When it had finished, everything looked fine. I have just tried plugging my ipod in and iTunes crashed every time after 5-10 secs. I have wiped my library files out and am currently importing a chunk at a time to see where the corruption has occurred. I understand that if you xml file or mp3 tags become corrupted the same thing can happen. [alert admin]

Yes, but does this make that task easier? Did they developer spend many hours making this app? If you think the answer is yes to both of these, then donate. I am just starting out developing, and it's a lot harder and more complex than I thought. Unless you try doing it you'd never know. Everyone gets used to just downloading software that they have found, but give no thought to what went into making it.
