SuperDuper 2.6.2 (Mac OS X)
Update from developer, not from inside the app
When I manually updated SuperDuper 2.5 using the pull-down menu, I got version 2.6. But, the most recent version on the developer's web site is 2.6.2. Nevertheless, this is an excellent app for making bootable backups. [alert admin]

GifBuilder Carbon 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Even though this is an old app, it still works in 10.5.6 and works well. Easiest tool I know of to create and modify animated GIF files. [alert admin]

eBookfaces 1.1 (Mac OS X)
This still works with 10.5.6. It gives a great view of the full key set in all font sizes plus samples of text in three font sizes all in one window. An improvement would be if the window could be dragged wider and taller when viewed over 100%. One font I have, had a problem in the display and text samples (Phaeton) and Zapfino gets cut off on the top and bottom (leading problem in display). The title of two fonts don't display in the font drawer (Carta and Phaeton) but this is a very minor bug. Overall, this is a great app. [alert admin]

National Semiconductor Corp. DP83815/816 10/100 MacPhyter PCI Adapter 5.0.140.2 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
VersionTracker said I need to update this driver so I downloaded the update. The zip file extracted three files to my desktop in a folder called macphyter_winxp. What is supposed to be done with this? [alert admin]

Adobe Flash Player 9.0.124.0 (Mac OS X)
Flash CS3 Pro stand-alone 9.0.124 players are found elsewhere
The Flash 9 Update for 9.0.124 only replaces the plug-ins. The stand-alone players in the Flash CS3 Professional app have to be downloaded separately, and drag-installed to replace the entire Players folder. http://www.adobe.com/support/flash/downloads.html [alert admin]

Why must it always be this way?
I am having the same problem. I am running Mac OS X 10.5.6 and Microsoft Office 12.1.5. The 12.1.7 update says the version on my computer is not the correct one for this update. I've looked for 12.1.6 but can't find it. I even tried updating inside Microsoft Office and it only found the 12.1.7 update. If we need a 12.1.6, where is it?

When I followed the link to the Netopia/Timbuktu upgrade site, I ended up wasting $4.95 for another copy of the 8.7 version. I don't mind a nominal fee for upgrades, since it costs money to supply them. But, I also expect the update service to be up-to-date.

Can't program buttons (Mac G4)
The intellipoint/intellimouse installer for version 6.2 puts uninstallers in your /Applications/Utilities folder. They work. I installed version 6.2 to update version 6.1, so I could uninstall the whole thing, now that I am using Logitech devices.
