Poisoned 0.516 (Mac OS X)
Before posting a negative review and/or directing people to another peice of software, it would be a good idea to explain why. An undefended claim is meaningless. If you like Acquisition better, say why. That way people can decide whether they agree with you. For me, this program works great. I've used many similar programs, like Acquisition and LimeWire, and I like this one the best. For me, its the fastest, and the most stable. (I've never had this program quit on me, like some other file sharing clients). Plus, it connects to more networks (4 of them) for finding what you're looking easier. [alert admin]

Asaph Songbook Publisher 0.5 (Mac OS X)
I've never actually used this piece of software, but the author does make a good point (see response to the first post). First of all, its a free program. You can't really complain about that. If the program doesn't work for you, just suck it up and delete the file, it didn't cost you anything more than a little bit of time downloading it.
Second, the program is specialized. It was designed to work for a specific purpose, which is stated in the description. Just because it doesn't work the way you may want it to is no reason to leave a bad review. If it does what it says it does, than that should be a good review. You can't knock it if it doesn't do something that it doesn't claim, it never said it did that, so that feature, option, use, etc. shouldn't even be part of the discussion. Now if it didn't do something that it said it did, that would be worthy of a bad review.
And in case you didn't know, Mormons ARE Christian. It says so in our name. The proper name of the "mormon" church is "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints."
Besides, why would an application crash for members of another reigion? How would it know? The point is, the program was designed with Christian music leaders in mind. They're the target audience, thus the feedback that matters most is their's. If you're not part of the target audience and you find something useful in this program, then great; otherwise, oh well. It's not like you paid anything for it. [alert admin]

fine for me. I have wasted literally dozens of cds with iTunes, but only two with Toast. I use Mac OS X, and this outperforms the built-in cd burning support in every way imaginable. Version 5.2 will crashes repeatedly on my G4, I am stuck using 5.1.4 at the momnet. Nevertheless, this is a wonderful utility and I will continue to use it for all my CD burning needs. (Interesting side note: burning an mp3 cd works better when using standard data cd rather that the mp3 cd option. Weird.) And no, Toast cannot make a bootable OSX cd. Use another program, such as Carbon Copy Cloner to make a "blessed" system folder on a disc image, and then burn the image from Toast. [alert admin]

DJ, haveing done a few parties and dances now. I don't have the money to buy this yet, but after having tried the demo, (which functions identical to the full program except it stops the music after 15 minutes) I'm convinced that this is an extreemly stable program (my computer crashes more than it does) and would gladly take it over iTunes. Baytex doen't quite seem to quite appeal to my tastes, but I haven't worked alot with it yet. I'll agree though, the price does seem very excessive. -1 star because I had to manually import all my music - it didn't import from iTunes. [alert admin]

Avid Xpress DV 3.5.3 (Mac OS X)
as much, do the math: Final Cut Pro is $999. Acid is $1699. That's 1.7 times as much. Then there's the student/educational pricing: Final cut is $299, Avid is $499. That's 1.6 times the price. Granted, the price is still higher, but its not 2x. [alert admin]

G-Force 2.2.2 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
that it still works with SoundJam. However, if you haven't noticed, SoundJam went the way of the great disc repository in the sky. iTunes does a mighty fine job of replacing it, and at $40 cheaper (a.k.a. FREE). I think this may be a problem with my computer, but I have problems playing G-Force in fullscreen with it set to "large." Medium works fine, except that it plays in extreme widescreen mode. Mactracker 1.6.2 (Mac OS 9)
system admisistrator, I often find myself needing to know exactly what the specs are on any given machine. MacTracker does just that, tells me everything I need to know in a simple, easy to use interface. And the update feature works perfectly and seamlessly, like the rest of this excellently implimented program. [alert admin]

A better way of stopping the program would be to use the process viewer. ALL running programs show up there, regardless of whether they are in the dock or not. A quick command will quit anything you want (including the commands that run the OS). A great way to get quick access to the process veiwer is to download and install the system preference pane "Spy." It puts a little icon in your menu bar that…

I am curious why you consider Mormonism to be a cult. What exactly about our teachings do you consider to be cultist and/or non-Christian? Perhaps you may be confused about the Mormon culture, rather than the actual teachings of the church. Let me explain: We believe that Jesus Christ came to earth to suffer for our sins and redeem us from the fall of Adam, that thereby mankind might return to live with our Father in…
