Monolingual 1.3.7 (Mac OS X)
Just ran Monolingual on my 2 iMacs G5 iSight. Monolingual DOES NOT know some new enhancements and settings of 10.4.10. Along with wrecking my OS - down to not being able to run any of my apps, it somehow is preventing me from installing a new 10.4 over! I've been getting the "slash - prohibition" icon sign at every restart. None of what I've tried's been working: booting with "C" from the internal drives, booting with "option" on external drives (optical and HD). Force-reading my Disk Warrior CD... Nada. Zip. What I'm trying and see if works is: copying "System" and "Library" from the root of another identical iMac G5 over the previous installed folders. Strange enough, Monolingual worked normally on a G3 Graphite iMac. [alert admin]

ScreenCaptureGUI 2.0 (Mac OS X)
But there is a tiny widget called "Capture" which does more or less the same. Try and search it inside Apple. [alert admin]

Microsoft Messenger 6.0.2 (Mac OS X)
For some stubborn reason, Apple refuses to port iChat to the Windows world (like they did with the iTunes) and Microsoft, on the other hand, refuses to implement video on Messenger for the Mac. Go for Adium for text and Skype for video, instead. [alert admin]

Anzan 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Anzan's visuals and functionality are great. But if you just need a non-nonsense Mac to Mac bridge, try DropCopy from 10base-t (http://10base-t.com/premier.html). Very barebones app A WHOLE LOT cheaper too ($25 for unlimited usage). By the way, I'm a DropCopy user. [alert admin]

I stick with those who condemn David Watanabe attitude toward his customers: he offer NO answer whatsoever. My personal experience. On the other hand both Acquisition and Xtorrent are beautifully crafted. Functionally and visually. They're simply elegant and a breeze to use. I paid for Acquisition a long time ago but now that Xtorrent is just out of beta, I'll switch to Transmission, that's been said has the same engine of Xtorrent. [alert admin]

Matinee 2.3 (Mac OS X)
I really can't see the point of this product. Although it is a quite beautifully designed piece of software, with simplicity in mind, I think this is just not aimed at me: I mean, who would rip 5 or more DVDs and keep them in their HDs? [alert admin]

Simon, can you boot from a Universal Tiger DVD inside its internal drive, or boot from any external drive? I've got a hunch that Monolingual might have deleted (or changed) something very crucial down boot rom or something. Thank you.
