MPEG Streamclip 1.9.1 (Mac OS X)

Powerful and easy to use

The app I've been waiting for a long time. A true video editor, easy to use (I like the shortcuts without the cmd key, no need to put both hands on the keyboard) and especially good at export settings. Saving and loading presets is great, once you have found the "best" settings for e.g. AVI export. And - of course - the YouTube downloader is cool, too. It's for free, that's unbelievable. Recommended to everyone who needs to convert video files. [alert admin]

DC30 Xact Driver 1.6 (Mac OS X)

Wow - incredible!

I just got a DC30 and tried it out under OS X 10.2.8. My G4/400/AGP had big problems with a proTV II before - but with the DC30 and this fine driver it really captures fine at 25Hz / 768x576 PAL. Both the DC30 and the Xact Driver are marvellous! [alert admin]

Platypus 2.2 (Mac OS X)

Great!

This app is really great, user-friendly and feature-rich. What I like most: It supports start by dropping file(s) on the generated program. Just imagine what you could do now with your X11 applications - or even with MacDoomLegacy (drop some PWADs on a script that writes "addfile" lines into the config file, and enjoy) ! [alert admin]

Eigenmath 24 (Mac OS X)

Great!

It's incredible - a free program capable of both simple 2-D plotting and symbolic algebra! I didn't yet check out the limits of the algebra capabilities - it seems to be stable and fast enough. Well, some additional double or long double precision numerics would be fine.. Let's hope that this fine program will expand - some day (perhaps very soon) it can compete with the expensive monsters like Maple or Mathematica.. [alert admin]
