Yojimbo 1.5 (Mac OS X)

Works perfectly with me

I don't have any problems whatsoever, even on Leopard and including .mac synchronization. I have never had troubles. It's a great app. I just wonder what the new photo import feature should be good for - if you can't even turn a pix by 90°. Import it into iPhoto, adjust it, export it into Yojimbo? Absurd... SOHO Organizer 6.5 (Mac OS X)

Buggy piece of crap

It's just messed up my calendars and address book AGAIN: Calendar: Hundreds of out-of-date and long-deleted events and birthdays are here again. Plus a 2nd birthday calendar. Hooray. AB: All a. b. entrieds are duplicated. I won't give this s... another try. [alert admin]

Little Snitch 2.0 beta 6 (Mac OS X)

Deletes v.1

Developers ought to tell that the beta not only reverts previous versions to "unregistered". It DELETES them for good. If you don't have a backup, try to find v.1 anywhere on the dev's site or @ VT or @ MU! [alert admin]

VokabelTrainer 0.6 (Mac OS X)

Waiting, still waiting for it to do miracles

Maybe the author should point out that this an *empty* database, nothing more, nothing less. Otherwise, there will be more dumbheads wondering what to do with it: wait for it to talk to them, wait for it to start up and take them to Hawaii, wait for it to talk to their foreign customers… - wait for it to do anything they are not capable of. Such as typing in the words they might want to learn. [alert admin]

iTunes Volume 8.4.6 (Mac OS X)

WHO NEEDS T H I S ? ? ?

No idea who wants to clutter his screen constantly with anything. And it annoys me to have their update constantly on the Versiontracker list. Either it is that buggy or they don't know how to compile a decent app or they just want to be present all the time. In all cases: NO, thank you. [alert admin]

BlackBerry 3G Scripts 2006~10 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Synchronization?

I'd love to buy a Blackberry phone, but without any way to sync my data via iSync or any other means, a Blackberry + all other utilites are worthless for me. [alert admin]

DiskWarrior 4.0 (Mac OS X)

3.5 years without charge for updates / upgrades?

Folks, for how many of your apps installed on your hard disk have you NOT had to pay for an update / upgrade? This ist not a sophistic question of "update" or "upgrade", it's a question of time. 3.5 years - just sum up what you had to pay for Apple's iLife / iWork apps! And these are NOT crucial for your Mac to work. [alert admin]

One thing I must admit:

DL developers really think in a very strange, quirky way. I never knew where this quirky way of thinking came from - NEXT may be the source of it. It took them YEARS to implement Sync Services, i.e. Address Book and iCal integration + syncing. My email contact showed me that they didn't really want to and had little interest in it. Even now they didn't succeed in syncing notes, which means: you can use DL…
