KnockOutDock 1.3 (Mac OS X)
Lifesaver! Wish it worked in Leopard. ![]()

This application finally ended years of frustration with Apple's dock. I hate the dock, I don't want the dock, but on VERY rare occasions, I NEED the dock (like when I accidentally window-shade (Er, sorry "yellow ball") an application's window and it shrinks into the dock. I absolutely rely on KnockOutDock to rid myself of the ever-popping-up dock. Unfortunately, it doesn't work in Leopard. PLEASE upgrade this to work with Leopard!!! [alert admin]

Quests do not work in Palm 5, crashes device.
Great game, but quests do not function in Palm OS 5, they crash the OS, so if you play it, just don't accept any of the quests. Sadly never fixed, never updated. [alert admin]

My Gen5 iPod Photo used to sync up perfectly in version 6 on Windows. After installing version 7, nothing do can get iTunes to see my iPod. I wish I could go back to v.6. [alert admin]

MDW Picture Viewer 1.0.73 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
This program allows you to select a folder filled with image files and play them as a slideshow. But it has no controls, no setting for timing, (very little interface at all) and shows the slideshow in a window, where it does not even maintain the aspect ratio of the images. It isn't what you're looking for. Move along, nothing to see here. Removed it from my computer almost immediately. [alert admin]

Just drag and drop a folder of images, even a folder with subfolders of images, and "Slides!" will show them in order, subfolder by subfolder, at full screen size. None of the other freeware slideshow apps seem to be able to do that. This is fantastic. [alert admin]

iCab 2.9.6 (Mac OS 9)
2.9.5 ran fine for me on 68K version (on a Quadra 605). The 2.9.6 version for 68k hangs after launch. Too bad, because I really really really like iCab. The only complaints I have are that javascript support is still primitive. Web pages with javascript rollover drop-down menus don't render properly. Instead they render opened, lined up vertically down the left side of the window. Still holding out hope that they'll improve it. Other than that and the trouble with 2.9.6 on 68K, I think iCab is the best and most stable browser for 68K there is. The PPC and OS X versions work fine for me in 2.9.6. [alert admin]
