TextMate 1.5.5 (Mac OS X)
c'mon developers - if you don't include a "what's new", there's no point releasing a new version! [again!] [alert admin]

Mozilla Thunderbird 2.0b2 (Mac OS X)
needs OSX address book integration
thunderbird needs proper integration with OSX address book, before it can even be considered as a serious alternative to mail.app [alert admin]

iTerm 0.9.4 (Mac OS X)
great app - but please lose the brushed metal!
i just updated my previous version today and, whilst i think iterm is great - i hate the new brushed metal look. iterm was miles better looking before. please offer a preference get rid of rancid brushed metal! [alert admin]

Currency Converter 0.5 (Mac OS X)
in the past, i've always been a bit disparaging about widgets which do things already built into the OS. however, since apple's recent OSX updates have knackered the currency converter built into calculator.app - all of a sudden "Currency Converter" starts to look like a useful thing to have.
maybe i'll give it a go after all!

this app has great potential - after all anything which spares us having to gaze upon myspace's monstrous ugliness has got to have something going for it. the interface is clean and uncluttered and very intuitive. however, there is still a lot of work to be done as regards the functionality; for me, it doesn't show bulletins, sent messages or sent/received friend requests and all the messages in my inbox are dated with the date i first launched spyder, rather than there correct dates - which makes finding stuff a real pain. i see someone below mentioned the app costing $35, which is what the spyder website says the app costs. however when i clicked on the "buy license" button in the app, i was taken to a paypal page asking for $49,95! $35 is ridiculous for a one-trick app like this at this early stage of its development - $49,95 is a joke. Default Folder X 3.0.3b4 (Mac OS X)
DF was indispensible back in the pre-OSX days and was one of the first things i'd install on any new system. the OSX version however is a pale shadow of its former self.
where classic DF did actually "enhance" open/save dialogues by building new features directly into the dialogue, OSX DF instead attaches a 'fischer price'-like icon bar to the side of open/save dialogues, which looks completely out of place and, like an errant child, is forever prone to becoming separated from its parent - move a dialogue across the screen and DF folder stays where it is for a while, before looking round in panic and belatedly rushing across the screen to into the waiting arms of "mother".
it's all horribly clunky and [for me anyway] makes DF unusable on OSX. shame! - because as i mentioned above, this was one of the greats, back in the classic days.
as a slightly off-topic parting shot; all the functionality DF offers should be built into the OS in the first place, but waiting for apple to FTFF is, as we all know, another futile exercise!

GraphicConverter ... is far superior to Photoshop in functionality and usability. It does more & is so much more intuitive than Photoshop.
OMG! - that's a good 'un. you should get a job as a stand-up comedian, if you believe this over-rated, ugly clunky POS is even fit to lick photoshop's boots.
quick! - someone get me to a rib doctor!

i didn't think i was getting particularly "worked up". i just happened to mention that i thought this app had deteriorated from its previous incarnation under 'classic'
-
according to the other posters [who did seem to get worked up!], this marked me out as everything from a luddite longing for a return to 'classic' [which i'm not] to a congenital idiot [which i'm not] to someone pushing some kind of hidden agenda to undermine DF…
