WinZip 11.1 (Windows NT, Windows XP, Windows 2000)

WinZip 11.1 work on Vista and is a free upgrade from 11.0. It can unzip RZR and BZ2 files and has a new best compression option that chooses the best compression method to use based on the type of file being compressed. This has reduced the size of my backups, making them smaller than WinRAR! I also like the Job Wizard feature to back up my Documents folder although I edited the provided version to use the date in the zip file name option and to store it on my USB drive instead of in the default My Archives folder. I also got the WinZip/Companion combo pack. Companion is really nice. It works like magic. I just attach files to my email message and when I press send it zips them and replaces the attachments with the zipped version. [alert admin]

Too bad

WinZip 11.0 can decode RAR and BZ2 files. It also offers new compression technology that beats RAR
