iMOnTime 2.4 (Mac OS X)
Hmmmm....unable to even try the app
Call me impatient but I've been trying to download the latest version of this for about 5 hours. Off and on I spend about 5 minutes attempting to simply download the app from the provided link. It tells me every time "Error 421 X users logged in attempt again in 10 minutes." WTF is that? I'm not going to sit here for 2 hours straight attempting to download a 1.7mb app. Perhaps the developer could provide a better means of getting the app. [alert admin]

Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy 1.0.1c (Mac OS X)
While I've only played this for a couple hours I'll have to say that I've experienced no problems. Graphics are just fine, in fact they are extremely adequate considering the game is almost 2 years old. It hasn't locked up my system or anything either. As far as content goes, the game is relatively straight forward but interesting nonetheless. I am definitley going to finish this one. [alert admin]

FileSalvage 4.0 (Mac OS X)
I've only played with this briefly but this is way too cool! I love Mac and OS X. Who needs a cleanroom and a scanning electron magneto something or other to recover that all important pic or movie or project when you can get this! It takes a while to run the bigger your hdd is (duh) but being able to recover things on my own is frickin awesome. I switched from pc to mac in Oct 04 and I've become an osx software junkie....gotta play with everything and I may actually keep this. Lets see someone get a program on winbloze xp that will do the same thing in 2 clicks with the same amount of stability and success rate. Oh yeah it's also scary to see what I alone can recover and if the time ever came I now realize that I would probably have to toss my hdd's in the microwave to actually get rid of all the (deleted)stuff on them. MPlayer for OS X 1.0pre8 (Mac OS X)
I noticed on the d/l URL that this is a cvs build ( MPlayer-dev-CVS-050618.dmg ) which explains why it doesn't work.....at all. Running 10.3.9 it either takes almost a full minute to attempt to load a movie and then it either crashes or the playbak is too choppy. I'd say stay away unless you're a developer with the MPlayer OSX project. This is definitley not a public release & I would venture to say that this wasn't posted by a main MPlayer OSX project developer either . [alert admin]

Monolingual 1.2.9 (Mac OS X)
I kept: ENGLISH, US ENGLISH, UNICODE, CENTRALEUROPEAN. It freed up 1.3gb's of hard drive space otherwise and will probably make my system a tic faster too. f'in awesome! [alert admin]

PDF2Office Pro 2.1 (Mac OS X)
TextLightning by Metaobject, anyone? I've had to use this kind of software like twice in the past 6 months but even if these 2 are on par with each other one is $129 and the other is $27. Go figure. [alert admin]

Virex 7 DAT 050309 (Mac OS X)
The best antivirus for mac is to not use/uninstall IE and MS office from your mac. Thats it unless you are on a cross-platform netwrok. There are plenty of other options than using these things even if you've converted recently from pc to mac. The only reason a virus will be on and affect a mac is if you have a MS produced software installed since certain virii can attack MS macros and whatever else MS has decided not to fix in their programming. As of the present (and forseeable future) OS X does not have a native virus and neither does unix. [alert admin]

qFiler 2.0 (Mac OS X)
I agee because I actually give a rat's you-know-what about the name of the software company when I'm downloading and using their programs. Give me a break. You'd have to be mentally handicapped to base an assumption about software just from the name of their company. Not too mention the fact that V'tracker probably won't allow hacking/cracking software to be posted. Duh, if you're going to make review of the software (like you're supposed too) why don't you make a valid point and not a stupid one about the name of the company. [alert admin]

Azureus BitTorrent Client 2.2.0.2 (Mac OS X)
Stable is the most important factor....right? ![]()

2.2.0.2 hasn't crashed and is currently able to load a torrent file for a 20GB torrent download. So far every other torrent client has choked & crashed when attempted to load said torrent. I don't see where the complaint is coming from about Azureus reserving space on my HD for the downloads.........um, when the downloads are done they will be occupying that space anyway, right? It's not like they download and exist on a phantom holographic part of your HD. So suck it up and use the most stable torrent client for Mac OSX. [alert admin]

That's why it pays to read the 'system requirements' section: this app is built for OS X 10.4. Of course it won't work on 10.3.9.

What the heck is this person smoking? It's been many many moons since ffmpegx was touched: 0.9s to 0.9t. Heck, a month ago there was even speculation that the developer would be forced to abandon the app altogether. This upgrade looks amazing on th surface but it''l be a while to test everything. Nontheless make sure you get your fact straight before you slam some software.

Thats not necessarily RapidWeaver's fault.....IE is admittedly not up to date and severely incapable of conforming to even old internet standards. They say they are going to fix all this in IE7 kind of like Longhorn is just around the corner. I use RapidWeaver religiously and so far the only major crippling factor is that IE/FireFox don't use PNG format pics and Safari does therefore some colors show up a tick different in the different…

Eh, while I see your point, and sympathize a little, I still must say that you are whining a bit much. I've seen this issue with several other programs that were way more expensive than this; and while I only have my one Mac, and not a whole library-full or something, it IS only $10. If the programmer hasn't replied to you it's probably because you scared him with your "legal niceties".

110 minutes into mine with 15GB's of space used. I know it's doing something but how long does an optimization really take & does this 'new compression' engine have anything to do with it?
