iPartition 1.02 (Mac OS X)

Some demo...

It doesn't really allow you to tell if this utility really works or not. I'll let someone else be the guinea pig before I buy. If it doesn't get many more reviews, I'll likely ignore it's existence then. A really functional demo would be really helpful to build confidence. [alert admin]

iPartition 1.01 (Mac OS X)

Deleting partitions?

If this could delete an unused partition and allow the space to be used by the main partition, I'd give them $10. But I'd only use it once, so it isn't worth the 35 USD to me. I'd also like a demo to see if it actually works though. I'd take the risk for $10, but not for $35. [alert admin]

GRBand Assistant 2.0 (Mac OS X)

What's wrong?

I can't seem to input any beats, otherwise the new drum app works like a charm ;-) Also, there is no copyright on the app (MyCompanyName is surely not it, right?) [alert admin]

Fugly

$2 is very reasonable for nice themes, but these aren't nice. [alert admin]

Doggiebox 1.1 (Mac OS X)

Still no Midi export? $10 more? Hmmm...

Still no Midi export and a $10 price increase? I had high hopes for this app way back when. Now, I'd recommend anyone interested in purchasing this get Metro SE, which has just as good of a drum editor (much better IMO), but also includes Midi export, audio and midi recording beyond just drums, and plenty of other features. Again, I'm disappointed to see the lack of needed featurs to warrant the price. What a bummer. [alert admin]

KMremoteControl 1.31 (Mac OS X)

Update...

I dunno what happened when, but I haven't had the preference problem mentioned below since writing my review. I'm just making amends for the four-stars with an update: after months of use, I really feel like I got much more than my money's worth with KMRemote. I buy a lot of shareware after an initial first impression to later find I don't need it, but I use KMRemote day in and day out. [alert admin]

Metro SE 6.1.0.5 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Incredible value

I'm just getting back to midi music after a 15 year hiatus. It cost me at least $15,000 back in the day for just the midi portion of what Metro LE does, I'm still blown away with what my $69 has gotten me. This is my most recommended app ever. There is also a forum where the developer responds to virtually all posts. Simply incredible. All my questions and concerns have been addressed and I have had the best software purchasing experience of all time. Buy this software! [alert admin]

Some demo...

An idea... I understand the reluctance to post a working demo because people could just use it once and never pay, but how about allowing it to work with a limited-size disk, maybe a demo dmg partition or something? At least something to know it won't jack your box?
