FolderGlance 2.5.0 (Mac OS X)
VersionTracker advised me of the Snow Leopard version. Previous version not found though. Downloaded it and installed. As said above, it drove me mad. Whenever the cursor hovered over a folder, up popped the contextual menu full of detail; great idea but to intrusive. But it definitely did work with Snow Leopard 10.6.1. [alert admin]

Speed Download 5.0.6 (Mac OS X)
The download URLs need to be checked. The URL given in my VT notification wold not select SD at all. Using the 'Check for Updates' in Speed Download > Check. would not work. Got here by going back to VT and searching for SD. Since SD v506 not downloaded yet, it may still fail. [alert admin]

Speed Download 5.0.4 (Mac OS X)
Of all my applications, SD is in the top-five. However, ever since VersionTracker became part of CNet, Speed Download has lost its punch. In the past, a double click on the item to be downloaded from a VT web page would open SD and allow a fast connection. The file could be sorted by Kind, stored in its correct folder, opened and installed. Now, a double click does not work as expected or correctly. Using a Control+click+ drag a VT item to SD in the Dock, often produces a rather-useless, blank Safari page. The only solution is to go back to the original VT page, double-click on the file to be downloaded, and waaaiiiiittttt for it to arrive in a Downloads folder, where all files are clumped together. Since SD's main purpose, for me anyway, is to assist in reducing the time taken to download files from sources such as VersionTracker, I find this development is not very helpful to say the least. Is this common for other users? [alert admin]

Cross-hairs now fail in 3.0b15
That's it. Cross-hairs worked well in beta 14 but now do not come up in beta 15. Using Leopard 10.5.2. [alert admin]

Ready,Set,Go! 7.7.6 (Mac OS X)
Lots of new items, yet to be fully explored, but the amazing thing is the still-tiny footprint. Where other similar applications get more bloated with time, RSG! quietly goes its own way. I started with it in 1988 and it's never failed me. [alert admin]

PinPoint 3.0b14 (Mac OS X)
Yeah. Loads on Start-up or Login. I've tried most alternatives and all work as expected. It took a few tries but finally the penny dropped that you need to 'Stop' and then 'Start' when changing the Pointer style; logical though. All this with Leopard 4.5.1 too. Highly recommended for all users. Thanks. Cross-hairs are nice too. [alert admin]

Having just downloaded the final version of NWEx 2.7, and dragged the installer icon into Applications, I noticed that one of the first items shown in the progress screen was about transfer of the original licence information. Very neat and no hassle.
