SOHO Notes 7.0.3 (Mac OS X)

Whoa!!!!

Yeah, My install also place all of the contents of the original Soho Notes application in the Root of my volume! No Good Man!! I moved them all back to the appropriate folder within the Applications folder, but that is just ridiculous! [alert admin]

RealPlayer 11 build 884 (Mac OS X)

Possible Interim Fix

If you read my last post, you will see where the problem lies. That said, I had one machine that had the previous version (build 631) installed. I replaced the "RealNetworks" folder in ~/Library/Applications\ Support with the previous version's Download Agent - started it and now it is working as it should. As stated, the new Download Agent that ships with Build 884 is not working or is broken. I find it interesting that a previously installed version will work. I thought that it would have given me an error telling me that "This version is no longer supported" but it didn't. Perhaps Real should package the DL Agent from 631 with the app from 884? Dunno, but this fix seems to have worked now on 3 laptops. (In case I had not stated that this only affects wireless access in my other posts) [alert admin]

RealPlayer 11 build 884 (Mac OS X)

Still Not Working

I tried the "Network Socket Error" fix to no avail. I seem to have narrowed it down to the RPDLAgent that runs. If I kill both the RealPlayer process and RPDLAgent process in terminal, navigate to ~/Library/Application\ Support and delete the RealNetworks Folder, restart RealPlayer, choose NOT to install the Download Agent, then everything is fine. Apparently, there is a problem with how the Download Agent actually searches for it's downloads. Almost any site that has a flash file is calling to that agent. I know that MacNN is a big one and I visit that site all the time. In my tests, you can leave the RealPlayer app in the app folder and just not run the DL agent and everything is fine. I really think Real needs to fix this. As I have stated before, it was working in build 631. It seems that build 884 broke something. [alert admin]

Airport NOT FIXED - Other issues

Not only is the Airport problem not fixed, for some reason it is now knocking out and Verisign Certificates you may need to authenticate with. They need to get on this. The last working version of this (and this is still BETA as far as I am concerned) was the Beta released with the build # 631. [alert admin]

Has the airport issue been fixed?

I know with the last two builds, it knocked out my airport router. Anyone know if this has been fixed? It was all over the net. [alert admin]

It seems that this update has broken support for Lotus Sametime. Otherwise, it seems fine. [alert admin]

Netscape X 9.0 (Mac OS X)

Ah, the good 'ol days

I remember, way back when, when Netscape rocked the proverbial cradle of love. What happened? All of a sudden, they drop their support for Macs and now they pick it back up! In the meantime, everyone under the sun has adopted some sort of Mozilla framework and named it something new. I'm going to give it a shot, though, for old time's sake. [alert admin]

KeyCue 4.0 (Mac OS X)

10.5 Ready? Are we sure???

I'm tesing this in a 10.5 developer seed and am getting absolutely no response. In order for this to be "10.5 Ready" it actually needs to work in the OS. [alert admin]

Flock 0.9.1.3 (Mac OS X)

We should encourage

We should want to encourage people to develop for he Mac platform. It is what keeps our environment fresh. I think Flock is wonderful. It is a very formidable browser. It offers a lot of options that a lot of other browsers don't. I think it is a shame that some people think we should live in the same kind of world that the Windows users live in, in that we should all just be happy using the browser that is supplied for us by the Operating System. I applaud this team for giving people choice in this matter. What may not work for some, or you, may be just what someone else is looking for. In regards to Flock, I think they are on the right path. I think it is a great alternative browser for people who don't want to use Safari or Firefox. [alert admin]

Poor image quality

Funny, I actually wrote him and told him that his video isn't actually HD as he is touting it is. I got a nasty reply that basically asked me if I wanted my money back. Hey - I was just trying to be a nice guy and let him know that other people out there were going to say the same thing I did. I have a 23" HD Cinema Display, and it looks like…

Doesn't Work Builds 3036 & 3136

UPDATE: A complete re-installation of Windows XP and everything is fine. I am wondering why I had to do this, though, when this has never been an issue in the past.
