BlogMate 0.5.3 (Mac OS X)

GREAT TOOL

Great tool for posting on the fly. Works well, and with categories. One feature I'd like to add is MT-Keywords in a post. Thanks. JOhn [alert admin]

RsyncX 2.1 (Mac OS X)

Great Tool

Rsyncx works fine, and has done so better since os x 10.1 , now with 10.4 It is very easy, but does seem complicated because of the power of rsync anyway with remote servers. Rsync allows you to easily generate scripts to fire off at any time. [alert admin]

Books 3.0 beta 1 (Mac OS X)

feedback data is out of date

It's 2006. the feedbck may be useful, below, but some is misleading. I've popped over to the site, there is a beta 3 in production, and it all looks very promising. I've downloaded it and will try it out. Perhaps version tracker doesn't really gather comments easily, and commenting on software ought to be built in and posted to sites like this, linked to your mail programme. That's down to VT and pthers to offer for thier commenting system. My god the the service sideof the web can be poor and slow to develop. THe htought of commenting on software I use via Version Tracker ffrightens me. I just don't normally. [alert admin]

Apple Pages 1.0 (Mac OS X)

I like it

I've used at least twenty different major word processors, and tested more. Pages, had to be special. I like to format things for the web as articles, as well as for print. It does both easily and well. There is no clutter here. Some things take a little getting used to, of course, and that can be annoying whe nyour a littl ejaded by processors. You can find paste with current style command in the menu. It is not an option by just pasting Cmmnd-V. But heh, that's easy. Would be nice in the tools bar, though. It would be nice if I could....Yes there is always that. For me its to save as HTML with the images in a specified directory which i different from the html page. Pages is very nice indeed, even the templates are decent. Images can be dragged and dropped into place holders. [alert admin]

destroyed ability to use Safari Tiger

I know this problem, and had it a few times. It is fiixable, but an unsure process. You don't need a new installation of Safari, and its not usually the plist, or bookmark etc. First try to log in with another fresh or fairly untouched user account, and safari will likely work fine. That tells tyou it's a problem osmewhere in your library. Things like old versions of menu enhancer and igetter plug ins…
