Mystery Island II 1.6.3 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Where is the game application?

I don't understand what's wrong here---there are folders (music and saved games) and lots of notes and readmes, but no application. Anyone know what the deal is? [alert admin]

DopeWars X 5.3.7 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Fun Game, but still has problems.

This is a fun and addictive game for people who like simple planning and strategy. Unfortunately, it keeps crashing! I would love to see some stability here. I would also like to see the ability to decide which drugs you sell---every time I get a game without cocaine, crack, or RU-486 I always quit and start a new game. It would also be helpful if the game didn't assume you want to sell all the stock you have or buy all the stock you can. It means that I have to erase the quantity every time, then type in the quantity I want. It would also be nice if the street sellers didn't offer me drugs not on my list (why aren't they just all on the list? It makes no sense.) or chemistry students didn't offer to make me drugs I don't sell. Since the game crashes all the time, you forget you're not selling ecstasy this time, and then you end up hiring someone to make it for you when you can't even sell it. It's also annoying that if you hire one student to make you something, then hire another again, it overwrites the first one. There at least should be an alert to warn you you are giving up your supply (also, if you are forgetting to keep enough money out to pay the person, although that is sort of part of the challenge, perhaps). Most annoying of all, however, is the fact that I cannot access the website associated with the game. It says it is under construction. How do I even know about registering if I can't see a website first? Oh well. I am out looking for another game, so maybe I'll find a better one. I'll recommend Dope Wars, but only because I expect its problems will be fixed. Try this version, but if it's months later and it's still at 5.3.7, you know you can only expect a game full of problems that may not be fixed. [alert admin]
