LaTeXiT 2.0.0 (Mac OS X)
I've been happily using previous versions for years. This version crashes every time I push the button LaTeXiT! [alert admin]

BluePhoneElite 2.1 (Mac OS X)
I've been using it for a while with my SonyEricsson k510i and OSX 10.5.6. It works fine, several useful features, stable and responsive, does everything it promises, no major drawbacks. Laks a function to get rid of logs. Of course you can go to the finder and delete it, but a "clear" command, as in skype, would help [alert admin]

I've been using it for months and I find it very useful. It can be configured in detail and has many options for export and visualization. Drag and drop is fully functional, as you expect in mac programs. Just to look for perfection, the major criticism is lack of "hypertextuality": it would be nice to click on an actor (director, writer, ...) and have an immediate filter. Of course this can be done with the search box, but you have to write it again, or copy/paste, and the search is full text, and frequently includes unwanted results. At least, a right-click search would help. [alert admin]

Smultron 3.3 (Mac OS X)
I've been happily using Smultron for two years. Now I'm still with Tiger, why has not been possible to make the new Smultron tiger-compatible? [alert admin]

Never A Cross Word 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Dictionaries for other languages - required "command line" skills
I needed the italian dictionary, therefore I found the Debian page http://packages.debian.org/stable/text/witalian and installed it in my system. Some workarounds and Makefile changes were necessary to complete the installation (as root). 1. download the source package, expand and move to the directory with command line 2. in Makefile changed every occurrence of "-g root" with "-g wheel", because the group root was not present in my system 3. create as root the /usr/man/man5 directory 4. issue command "make" 5. as root issue command "make prefix=/usr install" Then NACW can work with italian by choosing the dictionary /usr/share/dict/italian, and of course the italian dictionary is also available for other unix applications. Enjoy! Claudio [alert admin]

PDFLab 2.0.3r2 (Mac OS X)
Very useful and stable, but it seems that the development is not fully compliant with Apple guidelines: utilities such as Default folder do not work [alert admin]

TickerType 1.1.0 (Mac OS X)
It provides basic features to improve writing speed. It is conceived as a game and did not show any problem of stability. It is not a systematic teacher, as other shareware programs, but it is freeware and of some help. [alert admin]
