And thankyou also for not creating Acrobat 8.x Standard for Mac. I'm not being sarcastic here. I hate Acrobat and I'm glad to wash my hands of it by the fact that you don't support Acrobat 7 on Mac OS X 10.5, and you don't offer Acrobat 8 Standard at all. I tell my customers to go blame Adobe, and just use Preview, because it's less stupid. [alert admin]

This software still puzzles me though - even though it is installing a new protection mechanism, it is defeating the original CSS one, which would seem to be against either the wording or the intent of the DMCA. (I'm not an expert, since the DMCA doesn't apply to me.) It's the equivalent of me breaking into your house and then standing guard to protect your valuables from other people. [alert admin]

That's the vendor's decision. If they want to do 2.0 to 3.0 and make it a free upgrade, that's up to them. There's no "rule" that they *must* charge for using bigger version numbers.

@macnerd10: Do you actually know what a Combo updater is? It is an updater that includes all previous updates, so you only need to run one (or a couple, instead of 7). It has nothing to do with the operating system or restarting.

Pfft. Yeah, right. Good luck with that. Try and rip a CD in Songbird and then come back and tell us about iTunes. You realize it is possible to communicate using plain text? Email, SMS, gee..... even..... website posts. Hmm..... Now that you bring it up, what is the point of a website that doesn't allow you to leave your feedback about a product in full HD video with Dolby Surround Sound? Useless. I hope they are doing something else to support themselves until finally get around to implementing this much needed video feedback feature. C'mon, it's 2008.
