InDesign: the future of page layout. 
InDesign is not perfect by any means (too many stinkin' pallets) but it is incredibly powerful and a joy to use. Now that I have put that dog of an application called Quack XPress in my rearview mirror, I am actually enjoying page layout again. [alert admin]

QuarkXPress 6.0 (Mac OS X)
XPress 6 feels very dated, clunky and is simply aweful. It doesn't even come close to InDesign 2 and InDesign 3 is just around the corner. Fred and company will not see another nickle from me. [alert admin]
