Safari AdBlocker 1.1.1 (Mac OS X)

OMG! What a great product!

I installed it, and immediately the Intellitxt ads stopped! On both my Safari AND my Firefox! I don't know about other pop ups and such, but to get rid of those were worth the price of admission. Wait a minute, this was FREE? Where do I donate a few bucks? I am not yet sure of the stability, but I have been using this for about 30 minutes with-out a crash. [alert admin]

Logitech Control Center 2.2.2 (Mac OS X)

Doesn't cover my product

I am not a programmer, but is it really that hard to supply drivers for your own friggen product on OSX? Or am I off base here? I have a logitech G5 mouse, and with all the variations on this product, basically all doing the same thing just looking different, why does none of their software take advantage of all the features on the mouse in OSX? I am going to stop buying their products all together because I can't rely on support. I can't comment on most of it because it just doesn't do anything. However, it did not crash my system and it easily told me I don't have any products it supports hooked up. Silly, silly company. [alert admin]

theConcept 1.1.2 (Mac OS X)

Interesting concept, but...

I would pay good money for a version that will search the NCBI web-site, pubmed and blast searches in particular, with output organize in a similar way. It would be nice to have the ncbi data grouped by common keywords and/or protien and nucleic acid sequences. THAT would excite me. It does tend to shut down when taxed on OSX.2.8. Although it was fairly easy to use, when I had a question on how to do something, I found the documentation lacking. I think the features are fine for general web searches, but for anything technical I can't see using it. But to be fair, I although I won't use it because it does not do what I need, it is a pretty neat little tool. Maybe I am just not using it right and it can do what I want sans the graphs. The publisher could reply and I will reinvestigate if it does. J- [alert admin]

Microtek ScanWizard Pro TX 7.1.5 (Mac OS X)

Microtek products stink

I hope who-ever reads this does so before they buy one of microtek's scanners. I bought a 3600 USB scanner a few years ago, and what I found out is this. It seems they support all scanners but the 3600 for software upgrades and OS X compatibility. I can't speak for any of their other scanners, but to sell a product and not support it is just wrong. Never again will I buy Microtek! So, no, I don't recommend this software or their hardware! Jim [alert admin]

djoPlayer 3.4.1 (Mac OS X)

Good product

This easily does exactly what it promises. Unlike so many free downloads. My computer: 15 in powerbook G4. Although I didn't need it, I didn't see any documentation, though. Nice job! [alert admin]

iTattle 1.2 (Mac OS X)

Nice little product

Destined to become a working part of the operating system! I rarely keep freeware or shareware around but actually came back to find out who pay a small licensing fee to. One note, the update button did not work on my computer. [alert admin]
