DragThing 4.2.1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
was able to figure out that dragthing did automatic saves, but be tempted to close the dragthing window with the close button and you will be treading into waters where it is too easy to lose your data. the close button should just close the window. as i was teaching my daughter some of the basics of os x ie the close, minimize and zoom buttons, she practived them. when it was time to turn the machine off, she was in the process of closing the dragthing window. i knew at that moment that it would be impossible for her to use the product without losing data. and it is not just me. there were many posts here complaining about this very same problem, so you should recognize that you have a design problem here. fix this and i'll buy your otherwise great product. DragThing 4.2.1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
daughter an imac for her 11th birthday today, moving her from os 9 to os x. i needed a replacement for aladdin dragstgrip. looked into a couple of products. i really loved the gui interface on dragthing, but after wasting several hours trying to figure out how to save the data i entered for later recall (only to find it not there anymore), i gave up on it. sad for me, since i otherwise would have gone with this product. i even tried to save via export, but on importing, the tabs would be gone. i decided to go with pocketdock, even though i like your interface much better. please add a save feature for the data that doesn't cause it to be deleted. first time i ever saw this type of problem with a mac software product.
