VueScan 8.4.70 (Mac OS X)

support great

A while back I had contacted Ed about VueScan not working with my HP DeskJet F4180. He got right back to me but with each update, a fix for my scanner was never mentioned. I had just about given up hope when out of the blue, he emailed me and within a matter of a few hours we worked together and the problem was solved. This guy must be barraged with questions and issues from a lot of people and if you don't hear right back from Ede, BE PATIENT. When he focuses on your particular issue, he will get it solved. Great Giuy! [alert admin]

iCab X 4.0 (Mac OS X)

WOW

I can remember iCab in the OS 9 days and it wasn't very competetive but this new incarnation is unbelievable. I've used it for a few days now and it is fast, intuitive and there have been no page rendering problems. What an amazing App this is. Bye Bye Safari and congratulations Clauss. By the way, I can't speak to the "memory leak" comment. Mine works just fine and dandy. [alert admin]

not a beta

This is the first release for OS 10.5.1. Not sure why it says beta. Extraordinary word processor. [alert admin]

Netscape X 9.0b2 (Mac OS X)

OK, BUT

still that crumby look of old Mac and windows graphics. Think they'd try to "modern it up" a little. Scrolling is very choppy. Opening tabs in new windowss works off and on. So many plug ins that Netscape says it doesn't have installed yet they are all installed in my system being utilized by other browsers I use. This beta version REALLY needs a FLEA DIP AND A HAIR CUT". [alert admin]

Why use this...?!

simply because Lime Wire is a shareware for their top rated P2P and it is doggedly slow compared to Frostwire. Those are reasons enough for me.

Lame!

Not at all. So what if it's a "rip off" of LimeWire, sometimes these are better products. Frost Wire is faster on my G4 iBook. I get turbo connections as well. Stop whinning and don't use it then.

HARDLY a stupid question. I wouldn't doubt that it does. I'll wait to here from others first.

iWork - especially Pages. Mac philosophy

Moaning, who’s moaning. I’m *censored*ing. Apple does this time and time again. You just get settled with iWork,Pages etc. And then along comes Y.A.U. They expect you to pay for it. Just like the OS sysyetm updates. I guess they need to make money but why on the backs of owners of a RECENT version of their app. OK, that’s that. To the fellow who originally wrote this, there is a time honored App called MacLink…

CAUTION

would someone be kind enough to elucidate the comment "know how to use the Terminal"? What has to be entered in the Terminal window that will enhance DSL connectivity and overall performance?
