Amazing Slow Downer 2.6.5 (Mac OS X)
I've used ASD pretty extensively. That is, until I discovered Audacity. Audacity does everything I could need more effectively than ASD, and for free. ASD's speed at slowing the tempo is definitely faster, but Audacity has higher sound quality, and once the song is convereted into a slower tempo, it plays much more reliably. Had I known about Audacity, I never would have paid for ASD. Audacity definitely has a much higher learning curve, and definitely does not provide the equalizer capability that ASD does, but it still is far behind as far as sound quality and reliability when compared to Audacity. Anyone thinking of paying for this software should definitley try both the demo of this software and the full free version of Audacity before forking over their cash; I wish that I had done the same. SolarWolf 1.5 (Mac OS X)
Wow. What an awesome game. My only complaint is that it was so addictive that I beat it in 3 days. Maybe some increased difficulty levels would increase the replayability. Thanks!!! [alert admin]

Fractal Domains 2.0b5 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Fracture is better. Even as just a screensaver. And the author has expressed interest in making a desktop app version. Everyone who enjoys fractals should check out fracture and e-mail the author asking for a desktop app version. [alert admin]

VLC plays Windows Media files...
VLC plays Windows Media files, and is so much easier to use than WMP. It'll play any video format you throw at it, and a lot of sound files too. VLC [alert admin]

X-Tunes 1.2 (Mac OS X)
of software. Fits in perfectly on my Ti, where the interface fits in perfectly with the built-in apple sound and brightness controls. This should clear up a lot of the problems that I previously had with iTunes, and hopefully, allow me to use it instead of booting up the PC and running WinAmp. If only Apple had included it. Thanks POL. [alert admin]

Err, sorry, I had some unclear antecedents in that post. I meant to say that ASD is still far behind Audacity as far as sound quality and reliabilty goes, not the other way around. Sorry for the inconvenience.
