Flock 0.9.1.2 (Mac OS X)

Hung Up While Installing

I'm looking for something/anything that will make browsing less aggravating. (Firefox is sl-o-o-o-ow now), but Flock went into TwirlyBall Hell Mode during installation. Is there a lot of errant code out there that's making browsers unresponsive or lethargic? [alert admin]

Firefox 2.0.0.7 (Mac OS X)

Can't bear it anymore either

Firefox has been growing increasingly frustrating. I thought it was just me, but I see that others have grown weary, as well. I downloaded Flock after reading an earlier comment, but it (Flock) hung up during installation!! I'm trying to get rid of twirlyball hell, not find new apps to create it. Is it that the web has grown to cumbersome for these browsers to handle? [alert admin]

Alarm Clock 2.4.5 (Mac OS X)

I've Discovered the Problem

This is, I believe, what is a huge problem, not just for this program--which IS excellent AND free(!)--and for a program I used to use before its erratic dependability made me discard it. And here it is: Google Notifier(s). It seems one must turn off all notifiers for the alarm clocks to either awaken the computer or, if the computer does awaken, to get the alarm/music to play. I'd be interested to see what happens if others would experiment with this. I can tell you that this program worked beautifully until this morning--and it was because--I'm 99% certain--I didn't turn off Google Notifier. Hope this helps. [alert admin]

Compositor 2.9.7 (Mac OS X)

Promotes Creativity

I've had a version of Compositor as part of my palette since the very first versions. The author has always been personable and has continually worked to improve an already great product and to make sure that it functions properly, no matter what Steve Jobs and his crew do to alter the OS. To me, Compositor is the graphics program that allows one to create whatever one envisions, and to create what one might not have otherwise envisioned. Great, great program. [alert admin]
