Mozilla Thunderbird 1.0.2 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
Thunderbird is typical of Mozilla design: decent enough for simple usage but put to the test it bugs out. With daily use over the past few months I find that the program requires to be forced closed on a daily basis to eleviate phantom windows. The address book could take a cue from Outlook, the search feature could take a cue from Eudora which is superfast, and the email address auto-fill is often unpredictable. So far, Thunderbird is a turkey, but its potential can go the way of Firefox (to browsers) if the delvelopers are smart about it. [alert admin]

Apple iTunes 4.5 (Windows NT, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
I'm a huge fan of Apple - HUGE! They make fantastic products and really stroke the creativity of their users. I do have need for using a Windows-based system right now (although I have a terrific eMac as well) so I'm glad that Apple has made iTunes available for Windows. I've used it since its inception and love it, love it, love it. However, one fix needs to be made to this newest version - volume ratio. The volume ratio is completely out of balance now - it's pretty much like (ugh) Windows Media Player and RealPlayer. Not a big deal, but one aspect that used to keep this superior program above the rest (which it still is, just not quite as high). [alert admin]

GraphicConverter 4.2.1 (Mac OS 9)
because although my Mac meets the requirements (9.2.1 & CarbonLib 1.5) the program won't run. It simply informs me what the requirements are. [alert admin]

Netscape Communicator 4.7.8 (Mac OS 9)
and Navigator updates to 4.7 make me sad, I'm still pulling for Netscape. I use IE all the time on both my Mac and PC, but I have Navigator on both as well. I want them to be better. If we all clap real hard, perhaps they'll come back to life. And just a word on other browsers: Opera, iCab, Mozilla - suck, suck, and suck. [alert admin]

EasyClip 2.0 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
be a great program as far back as version 3. Now it sucks. I'm running XP and the program ran one time. Then my computer crashed to the point where I had to reformat the hard drive. Now the program just refuses to run. Total waste of money, and Roxio support sucks too. They could care less as long as they have their money. [alert admin]

a CD well, but only two stars for lack of functionality. Although it is supposed to be able to make a multi-burn disc, it never allows it by consistently mismeasuring the size of the files. Does anyone make good burning software? [alert admin]
