VLC media player 0.8.2 (Mac OS X)

Works for me

I've never had a problem with this (OS X.3.9) and it plays stuff that other players won't. [alert admin]

DVD Imager 1.4 (Mac OS X)

Just WORKS!

I like this for the same reason I love OS X (and hate the new bloated Adobe Acrobat): it just WORKS. It doesn't pretend to do anything fancy, but what it does seems miraculous to me - drag and drop a VIDEO_TS folder, get a burnable disk image. My husband makes hockey videos of our kids to send to relatives (no, they ask for them! Really!) and this has made it SO easy to copy them that we are almost caught up after just two weeks of use. Wish the guy had a donation scheme - this is a program I would pay for. [alert admin]

iFlash 2.5.2 (Mac OS X)

Great little app

Combined with a laptop and a 9 year old, perfect for studying spelling. Interface is excellent and intuitive. [alert admin]

Acquisition 112.3 (Mac OS X)

Definitely 1 of the best

This beats LimeWire all hollow and so far each version is adding useful improvements. This is the best P2P I've found for OS X and I say that as a registered user of LimeWire. [alert admin]

ClockAndTrack 1.1.3.2 (Mac OS X)

Great little app

This does just what I need it to do without bells and whistles and a confusing user interface. It's simple and intuitive, and it prints the details my manager needs to pay me for working at home - it's perfect for keeping track of hours worked, and on which projects. Clean interface, I've noticed no bugs, and it's definitely worth $30 to me - I turned in 16.5 hours the first pay period I used it. [alert admin]
