Klondike Forever 1.1.1 (Mac OS X)
Yes, it's pretty. But it gets old quick and can become irritating. The most distracting of the animations can be turned off (background anims, card back anims, "fireflies") but it still does card flips regardless, and even the static background is irritating after a while. If you just want something to look cute for a while, it's great. If you want to sit and play for a long time, find something more pedestrian and less likely to induce headaches. [alert admin]

TI Connect 1.6 (Mac OS X)
Version 1.6 works with Tiger, but frequently hangs. This seems to happen most often if the drag-and-drop feature is used. Using the File->Save Selected Items to Disk... menu item works better, but be patient, you'll see a spinning beachball for a while even if it doesn't hang. If you're trying to save stuff to the computer's disk and don't see this option on the File menu, but see "Save Selected Items to Device" then you'll want to quit TI Explorer and restart it from the TI Connect X menu by choosing "Copy Files to Computers." It'd be nice to have a third-party program that worked nicer. The interface on this program is stodgy and the wait times on transfers is ridiculous, even considering the speed of the calculator itself (which is faster than many other 8-bit systems I own.) -Saundby [alert admin]
