EasyWMA 2.7.6 (Mac OS X)
A presumed that as this program accepted WMA as input, that it would be able to 'downsize' these for output. I have some large WMA files (interviews) that I need to reduce in size -- I hoped to be able to use EasyWMA to do this... I mean, you'd think so -- given the program's name! After purchasing a copy (the demo is so hamstrung as to be totally useless), I find it does not output to WMA format. Utterly, utterly, utterly crap. Command-delete; Empty trash. [alert admin]

Q. How many bugs can you get into an app? A. Too many to count. But it looks nice, so that's alright, yes? Absolutely NOT. This developer (I'm guessing a graphic designer of some sort) DESPERATELY needs to team up with someone who can code. As it stands, all they have really developed is a collection of nice screenshots.... [alert admin]

Mountain Tanks 1.5.6 (Mac OS X)
I think the name of this game is misleading, and should be changed. This is simply NOT a tank game. If the tanks are unable to move, they are just fixed cannons - artillery. Half the fun and skill of a tank game is in attempting to manoeuvre your vehicle while trying to fire off accurate shots at a moving enemy. This game becomes VERY dull after about two plays. I deleted from my hard drive within 15 minutes of installing it. In a word: DISAPPOINTING. A. [alert admin]

DO NOT USE - This application corrupts font files. ![]()

**WARNING** DO NOT INSTALL THIS SOFTWARE!
As you will see from my comments below, I'm not a great fan of this software. Well now it just got worse.
The installer seems to try to install fonts when it is run, but instead seems to corrupt system fonts (or to install corrup versions). I can no longer use the HelveticaNeue fonts on my system -- they have been corrupted by this software! Unfortunately, this font is needed by LOADS of applications (including most Dashboard widgets), so now my Mac is extremely ill.
WITH BOTCH-WARE LIKE THIS AROUND, WHO NEEDS A VIRUS!
It's not just bad software, it's positively malicious!
I'm now off to try and reinstall some fonts... bugger.

pdf-Office 5.3 (Mac OS X)
Now trying to uninstall this nightmare, but cannot find any uninstaller. If you have to use an installer program to install an application (as opposed to simly dragging the .app file to your 'Applications' folder) then it is BAD PRACTICE not to provide an uninstaller. Furthermore, there is ABSOLUTELY NO reference to uninstalling in the user manual! There's no READ ME file, saying what has been installed. And I see that it has installed fonts on my system. I guess I'll have to trawl through the install logs to find out what's been put where... This really is a p*ss-poor product! A. [alert admin]

If you try to use this software, be prepared to spend lots of time staring at the spinning beachball of doom (or in this case, the blue beachball of eternity). Tried to open an Acrobat PDF to act as the basis of a form (so as to save retyping loads of text) The result? Cursor becomes a spinning blue beachball for 50+ minutes... So quit. Try again - a smaller document (1 page, and no graphics)... Spinning blue beachball again. So 'Quit' 'Move to Trash' 'Empty Trash' Problem solved. Why this developer thinks anyone would pay for this software, I have no idea. IMHO it's rubbish. A :( [alert admin]

Beaver X 1.1 (Mac OS X)
Utter geekware. No attempt to provide anything approaching a 'Human Interface'. Have not managed to get it to function, but it gives absolutely no indication what the problem is. Not even any text suggesting what file format it needs, or what outputs. In short, a classic example of user unfriendly, tech-centred, non-designed geekware. I strongly advise you not to waste any time on it. A. [alert admin]

I totally agree with this review. My organisation "invested" in FastTrack Schedule. What a complete and utter waste of time and money. It looks and feels like early 1990s software -- someone needs to tell them it's 2007. A.

Given the rest of the reviews about this 'product', this comment seems more than a little suspect -- like it's been taken right off the box!
The words "by", "posted" and "developer" spring to mind.
Just my opinion
A.
