Diabetes Logbook X 1.0.4 (Mac OS X)
I was diagnosed with Diabetes at age 12. I started using a Mac at age 19. I am 35 now. For 16 years I have been on a "quest" for a Mac-based application like this one. Until now, I have had to resort to a barely-sufficient Excel spreadsheet. This is the most comprehensive, easy-to-use, and well-designed tracking software I have ever tried. It has actually made me enthusiastic about staying on top of my readings, carb tracking and insulin regimen. (I own my own business and running it keeps me plenty busy.) The variety and depth of reports Logbook offers is perfect. I can't wait to show them to my endocrinologist. The developer has been beyond responsive, and it's FREE! The only thing he asks is that you CONSIDER making a charitable contribution to Diabetes UK. How amazingly unselfish is that?! My check is in the mail. (oh, and he's addressed a lot of the comments/requests listed in earlier postings.) [alert admin]

Suitcase Fusion 12.1.1 (Mac OS X)
Painfully slow when opening InDesign CS2 (v4.0.3) files...
I upgraded to Fusion from Suitcase. I was impressed at first, but then I realized that a number of my InDesign CS2 (v4.0.3) files were taking literally 25 to 30 minutes to open. Needless to say, it was seriously effecting my ability to get any work done. After numerous trips to the restroom and a lot of aimless wandering through the office...(a week later)...I decided to revert back to Suitcase 11.0.4. Ever since, the same InDesign files open in a split fraction of the time (10-20 seconds). I am running Mac OS X 10.4.7 on a Dual 2 GHz PowerPC G5 Processor with 1.5 GB of RAM. I need to add that I was trying to open files that had been modified by a fellow employee who hadn't upgraded to Fusion and was still using Suitcase 11.0.4. (Perhaps the conflict lies within?) Anyway, if you are experiencing the same problem, I suggest reverting to Suitcase until Extensis or Adobe get this issue figured out. [alert admin]

TimeCache X 5.2.2 (Mac OS X)
I just needed to pass along kudos to Pandaware. I have been using TimeCache since 1998. It is perfect for tracking time & expenses spent on projects within my design studio. i haven't run into any situation that the software can't handle. Sure, the time ultimately winds up being entered into my accounting software, but it has proven invaluable as a tool for the designers in my business who are keeping daily track of their time. I would never use my accounting software to accomplish the same task. Double entry? Maybe. But I need that degree of intermediate interaction before things become "written in stone". I do not mean to undermine its capabilities. TimeCache offers plenty of features that will allow you to bill directly from the data it tracks (i.e. don't hire that bookkeeper if you are not ready). I have had a few glitches "here & there". But I have never (okay, maybe once) submitted feedback to a developer without receiving such an incredibly quick response. Today, mere hours upon emailing Pandaware, I received two voicemails from the developer. My issues were resolved and my faith has not wavered. Point being -- Pandaware cares. Please keep that in mind. Give it a shot. I have nothing to gain. I only hold an undying appreciation for its streamlined and perfectly simple interface, as well as its ability to get the job done. I have continually checked out similar software. It never suffices. Try it. Buy it. Peace. [alert admin]

iPod It 2.3.2 (Mac OS X)
stable. works well. although, instead of actually "synching" my Entourage data, it appears to be re-copying it every time, which makes it a bit of a long process. i wish it would only update records that have been changed, remove deleted ones, and add new ones (i.e. "sync"). ibought it regardless. it's a gem. no more palm!. Contact Sheet Pro 2.0 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
I really like what this adds to InDesign. It works much better than doing contact sheets in Photoshop. Even though I think it is too expensive, I caved and attempted to order it online. Unfotunately, my payment wouldn't go through. In retrospect, I'm glad. It is way too expensive. [alert admin]

Konfabulator 1.6 (Mac OS X)
it would be nice if there were a "hide konfabulator" option (in the menu bar?) that would make all widgets temporarily dissappear, rather than having to quit the application (and all open widgets). [alert admin]

Print Window 3.0 (Mac OS X)
Print Window worked perfectly during the first few tests i ran. Then it stopped printing anything and continues to print out blank pages. Version 2 was working fine. I may have to revert. [alert admin]

Redefine Style Sheet 1.1.2 (Mac OS 9)
This extension is great for anyone dealing with large amounts of text in a Quark document, or for anyone who uses style sheets regularly. I'm stunned that Quark didn't work its features into version 6. (Adobe thought enough to work it into InDesign.) Thanks for keeping this extension up to date. [alert admin]

Samsung Mobile Utility 1.0b4 (Mac OS X)
I'd download this immediately, but my G4 minitower doesn't have an infrared port and I have no idea where to find a serial adapter that works with the port on my E105. Perhaps others are running into the same situation and that's why there's no feedback? [alert admin]

PowerRIP X 7.1.0 (Mac OS X)
It's sad that the only reason I would really need to buy this is because Quark 6.0 doesn't rip placed EPS files correctly -- something that I've had no trouble with in InDesign. (This software was actually recommended by Quark's tech support.) I'm not sure I'm willing to pay $350+ just so I can use my Epson 1280 in Quark 6, but sometimes I still need to use Quark and I don't want my client presentations to suffer because of Quark's continual lag. Time will tell, but right now I'm impressed with this software's offerings. [alert admin]

JDeans, I'm sorry I didn't notice your question sooner. I haven't checked this message board lately. I'm not confident that I can help. You can send the file to me and I can try to save it down, but I'm not sure that is convenient for either of us. Let me know (info@mibadesign.com). Bests, as.i.c.it
