TimeMachineEditor 2.2 (Mac OS X)

Works Fine

This works just fine for those of us who don't have the knowledge or the desire to mess around with plists, etc. [alert admin]

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between Caboodle and these other apps? [alert admin]

MenuCalendarClock for iCal 3.1.6 (Mac OS X)

Horrid support

Ditto prior posts about zero support. I haven't been able to use my license code issued by them. Emailed them a year or so ago and nada. Then, last summer I received an apology with still no fix. I emailed them again in August or September and haven't heard a word. [alert admin]

You Control: Tunes 1.7.1b1 (Mac OS X)

Love this

This is great! I've just started using it so don't know of any stability issues. Was using GimmeSomeTunes and this is far superior. The drop-down menu gives all the info you could ever want. Love the choice of icons in the menu. I need orange. :-) It fits right in with iTunes 8. [alert admin]

EasyTask Manager 2.0.10 (Mac OS X)

How about ability to fetch phone #'s from Address Book

I've been trying out different task managers--"Things" being the latest-- and Easy Task Manager seems like a possible candidate. With iGTD you used to be able to grab a phone number out of Address Book. That is my most important criteria so far because there are several productivity products that do the job but none have this feature (that I know of). [alert admin]

GimmeSomeTune 4.1.1 (Mac OS X)

Update Window shows every time I boot up

I paid for this and every time I reboot the computer I get a pane (PAIN) telling me that the same update/version is available for download. I couldn't get rid of it and can't get the developer's site link on the VT page to open. Outside of that, it's a handy thing to have. [alert admin]

Microsoft Office 2004 11.5.1 (Mac OS X)

Check out comment on 2008 version

Apparently people are having trouble with the update for the 2008 version. One user told them to not use Auto Update but to use regular installer. Could be the same for this one as well? [alert admin]

ProtectMac AntiVirus 0.9.1 (Mac OS X)

I beg to differ 2

We do, indeed, need something like this for Mac. Last summer a keystroke logger snagged my credit card numbers. Fortunately, the banks caught it before too much damage was done. I had Internet Cleanup after that. I liked the fact that it let me know when who was snooping etc. The only thing was was that it trashed my computer--I had to take it to the shop to remove all the IC bits and pieces. Apparently, it's common with IC for that to happen. I'm basically a techno-weinie so I'm looking for an effective piece of software that will take care of me without too much bother. ProtectMac sounds good but I'm scared to death the same thing could happen since the description is similar. I'll keep my eye on this and wait for more comments. [alert admin]

Works perfectly with me

Is it just me or are you describing what I'm experiencing? I can't seem to drag a photo to the "Images" tab that comes up with F8. I seem to be able to drag it only to "Notes." Are there photo restrictions or are there certain parameters around a photo that have to be included? Sorry for the lack of tech speak.

CLEAN OUT YOUR BANK ACCOUNT

I don't think I want anything to do with SmithMicro. For me, they have always been a giant pain to deal with.

This fix

You probably didn't hear that 7.7 made many of us crazy as the app would hang when connected to an iPod. Thank you, Apple!

Shows Promise

I would really like to see a running total in the register as well. I've been using this for only a short time and so far so good (I'm not running Leopard however) but I really miss the running total.
